For a lot of the maps you play on for free for all are a bit too small for 8 people. There is almost no breathing room for a mistake. you can’t fight 1 person without someone being ether behind you or just happens to there to clean up the kill or kill you. I think that 6 is a way better. It will let the map be less congested. This way people can choose a fight and not run into another one 2 seconds later. Just my opinion.
