Free Credits and Log in bonuses

Something that has come up alot is free credits in the battlepass, enough to get the next one. Something that hasn’t come up is a daily log in or win bonus.

How about for the first win everyday you get a small amount of credits, say around 20-30. Enough that over 3 months players get the 1,500 credits or 2,000 credits. It gives free-play players the ability to get a battlepass and have some spending money (for 2 actual bundles at most but still) and gives newcomers a year or 2 down the line free access to older BPs so they don’t feel left out whilst also letting them buy the current one as well.
It also might push people to spend money. Lets say there half way through the season and have been saving credits to get the next pass. But there’s this really cool weekly they want. They have their initial 1,000 so spend to get another and buy the weekly.

Food for thought.

Nah, I don’t know why anyone needs monetary incentives to play a free to play game

Because the game is very barren (even when they add the playlists, it will be very repetitive), and the free Battle Pass is awful?
Hopefully they’ll change that.

I think part of the reason so many people are focusing on the cosmetics is that the game is so minimal right now.
You can play objective, Slayer and a variant with more players, but aside from that, there isn’t much to do.
Of course, the other part is that people want more cosmetics.

Anyway, I don’t know about letting people earn credits to buy the Battle Pass.
That would sort of defeat the purpose of the game being free-to-play (why buy the Battle Pass when you can get it for free in 3 months?).
Letting people earn enough credits to buy an armor set each month makes more sense.

You get to play for free… If you are enjoying the game enough to continue playing, do you really not have $10?

Your post is difficult to take seriously when your avatar is a panda wearing a gold chain with a dollar sign on it…

That said, I don’t think everyone has $10 to throw at the game each season.

Warzone is free to play but it allows you to earn 10 dollars of credits for free and 15 for premium players. Battle pass is 10 dollars so you actually earn more to use on the store

Doesn’t Warzone have multiple tiers for the pass, or was that the mobile game?

Either way, I was saying that with the thought (or hope?) that they might add everything from the season into the Battle Pass, increase the price and remove the padding (so free users would also get more items).

If they just took after MCC more it’d be better. No swaps or double xp as an item, just a cherry on top. Double xp should be awarded on victories.
More cosmetics for free players, but still enticing. Allowing free players to play as recruit halo reach armor core wouldn’t bust 343’s bank

Now that you say that, I’m thinking all of the armor cores should be unlocked for free.
It’s just the armor sets that shouldn’t all be unlocked for free.

something akin to H5? sure.
‘o but it’s free to play, so be grateful’ no! stop right there anyone who says this. i’l bring this game up till i die; Super Animal Royal. a free to play BR game made by a small team that is still getting updates and support, whiles also doing a f2p game CORRECTLY. having both a premium and a free shop, the free shop offering lesser stuff but still worthwhile and the currency earned through each match based on SKILL along with xp for the actual progression system. the premium of course offering better stuff and having to be paid to get the currency.
the BP offering worthwhile free stuff whiles also having a few slots dedicated to the premium and free currency. so by the time you 100% it, you’l have enough to buy the full pass or save it for later. or buy it if you want to. AND the BPs never go away and you can continue and work on them whenever. the only catch is that prior BPs cost more to buy. but that’s it.
there’s actual fair and very easy challenges. achievements that REWARD you for playing the game, and for doing very hard acts, like winning with just a melee. oh… and did i forget to mention what’re esentially commendations for said weapons? you get a few kills with a weapon and you get a basic skin for it. ya know… as a reward!
oh yeah and also the gameplay is fun, so there’s that too… and there’s fully working bots… so if a small team can do it. then so can the big boi company of 343/microsoft

Sounds like a better free-to-play game than Infinite, and I wouldn’t doubt that there are quite a few free-to-play games that do things better than what was done for Infinite.
I’d say it’s because Microsoft is so large, or rather because Halo is so large, that they made it so awful.
They probably thought they’d be able to do that without much backlash as long as the gameplay was good.

bruh
let me get this straight:

you paid exactly no money for the game and you nonetheless want 343i to give you money in form of in-game currency for playing their free game

no offense, but: are on some xanax or something?

where the actual F is the logic behind this

Participation awards are the devil.

Of course I’d take free credits, who in their right mind wouldn’t?

Someone in a thread a while back said that they should make the Battle Passes just flat cash purchases on the Microsoft/Windows/Xbox Store, not something you can get with credits. I agree with this. This would free them up to then make Credits something that you earn in-game through various challenges so you can use them to buy boosts or cosmetics from the shop. I think that this was a really good idea, and definitely something that 343i should look to doing in the future.

As well, whether or not they end up doing that, I think that they also need to drop the rotation of store items. Instead, it would be better to let everyone see what they can buy from the get-go. I can’t see them doing this without major backlash, however, if they do it while this current Battle Pass with next to nothing for free players is running. If they ever do stop with the rotating items, I could very well see it happen when the next Battle Pass rolls in, hopefully with more rewards for free players.

In-game currency would be a nice incentive for free players to keep playing.
It doesn’t make much sense to give many things away (they should be trying to get people to buy the Battle Pass, since the game is free-to-play), but it makes sense to give players something to look forward to earning through playing often.
Gameplay isn’t enough all of the time, and the more often they play, the more people there are to play with, which gives some people more incentive to buy the Battle Pass.

Warzone would like a word with you. It’s free to play and they allow free players to earn 10 dollars worth of cod points. So the entire battlepass, and premium players earn 15 dollars in cod points so they can earn the next BP while earning 5 bucks to be used on items or saved twice for 10 bucks and so on. So no, no ones on Xanax, I’d argue you’re the one taking those due to how lax you seem to be about a system that openly is anti player
The Logic behind us all saying this is simple. Every other f2p game has done better. Some have done worse. But every popular f2p allows people to earn items for free.

Warzone
Apex
Super Animal Royal
Fortnite
Destiny 2
TF2 (style would be hated in halo but you can earn everything by selling crates to buy keys to then use)
LoL
Dota 2
Csgo
Runescape
Even ESO

While some of those games have their own egregious attributes such as ESO letting premium players have infinite inventory, they still all allow you to earn everything in the game cosmetic wise as far as I know. And if one of those games has a paywall to something (csgo Sniper skins) then it’s STILL OBTAINABLE just a lot harder to get like H5 armor

Correct. More than $10 actually

So in theory you only need to buy it once. It’s not that unusual for us to expect them to sprinkle some credits in
