Fred Is Coming to Halo 5!

So you may have heard the rumors about Fred and Blue Team going to be in Halo 5. I just found more evidence to support this.
So we have the fact that Blue Team appeared in Escalation to help Master Chief. They also appeared in the Halo 2 Anniversary terminals.

The number 104 is seen in Braille on Halo 5’s Centurion armor. 104 is Fred’s number. Also the fact is that the Centurion armor is also added to Halo 5.

The new evidence is that a new Mega Bloks set has been released. This set has Fred and a Booster Frame in the set. While it’s not representative of Halo 5 entirely, it could be a hint that he will be in Halo 5.

What do you think?

I think your title is miss leading.

It’s fairly clear that Blue team will be in Halo 5. It’s pretty much almost confirmed at this point. Their Appearance in Halo: Escalation, their appearance in the Halo 2A’s terminal, Fred’s armor available in MP. It’s very obvious they will play some role in Halo 5G. Might not be a big role, but they will probably show up at one point.

I understand putting resources together and making these characters come back into fruition. Players actually getting to see them hopefully ingame. And not wasting narration resources by continuing character development, I get that.

But the H2A terminal was them coming back after or before the operation during the book First Strike correct? So it was in the past and nothing new for the future of them in the present.

Only evidence we have of them is in the comic of what they did with Chief and the Didact after Halo 4. And that’s it, just going on missions with Chief for now, till a future Escalation comes out that might possibly show them.

So how is it confirmed they will be in Halo 5 and not another form of media? Just wondering if I missed something.

I just don’t want my hopes up is all.

They have given blue team roles to fill outside books and comics. There has to be reason why they are suddenly relevant after Halo 4 (after almost being ignored in any type of Halo media).

Their introduction to the games could be interesting. Dedicated fans know who they are, Master Chief knows who they are, but massive majority of the audience has never even heard of them - even if they have played all the previous games. How do you introduce characters like that?

People seem to forget that the Squad tactics designer for Star Wars Republic Commando was hired by 343i. If i were to take a guess, i would say that 343i saw the popular mechanic, and decided to incorporate it into the game. Evidence seems to support this. The Chief has his 4 man team consisting of Linda,Fred, and Kelly. Locke has his multi-colored 4 man squad as seen in the H2A cutscenes. No proof for the Arbiter yet as we dont know 100% that he is playable.

In a completely different way than 343 ambling around with an explanation for:

  • The Didact
  • Rampancy
  • Composing
  • Storm Covenant
  • Spartan IV’s
  • Lasky
  • Infinity
  • All of friggin’ Requim

Larger set pieces will always be welcome in a Halo game
