Now, I’m just curious about this, but has anyone else noticed the really, really strange background noises on Haven recently? The ones that remind you of a reversed voice or something?
I’m hoping I’m not the only one.
I did make a video on it and tried to reverse it, but I couldn’t make out anything from it.
I’m actually freaked out when ever I play Haven now.

I’m actually going to have to check this out when I get back home, seems pretty interesting! :3
Meh. Just background sound of the map. Nothing to see here.
Lots of sound effects are made by deforming absolutely normal sounds.
For example in Alan Wake, the Dark Presence was combination of kittens meowing, some baby crying and a few other sounds. Reversing the sound is one of the most common things to do.
Sounds like something you would hear on a Flood level but as for the Gravemind it does not sound like him. If it was a deep echoing inner voice sound like on Flood levels in Halo 3 I would think it was the Gravemind. It does just sound like wind but it does have that creepy Flood sound to it.
So what you’re saying is, I should boot up Haven in forge, jack the volume up on my surround sound, turn the lights out, and then equip myself with a plasma pistol?
