Fraps question

Ok, so I just bought fraps and I’m just beginning to use it. I’m trying to record dual commentary and can’t seem to record longer then 30 seconds. Does anyone know how to make it record longer?

i bought it, don’t have the free version

I have this at work, well pretty sure it should record more than that, either your hard drive needs more space due to the quality of your recordings being too big or the licensing isn’t working right. Either way I recommend you contact their support page.

Ronnie42 has the right idea, double check your license and then check your hard drive space, fraps does record very large files.

Yes I have noticed that, even on short recordings.

Thus is why I not only have a large hard drive, but I also tend to have all video recording software save recoded video to one of my 1TB+ hard drives that doesn’t contain anything at all.

OP, if you don’t have enough space on your hard drive for raw video files, I suggest you get another hard drive, either internal if you’re using a Desktop with an extra slot for an extra hard drive, or an external hard drive if you have a laptop or don’t have an extra slot. Just keep in mind that you don’t need a crazy big hard drive, and if you’re using computer with Windows 7 or older OS, I wouldn’t suggest getting anything larger than 2TB anyways, and you can get 500GB (0.5TB) hard drives for a fair price these days.
