Is it possible that Mendez is on the Infinity? He has trained both the Spartan IIs and IIIs, it’s possible that he could have at least assisted in training the Spartan IVs.
EDIT: As it was pointed out to me TFoR says that Chief and Mendez never see each other again, but he could still appear in Spartan Ops.
As much as it may seem cool to see that reunion, I remember that The Fall of Reach specifically says that the Master Chief never saw Mendez again after Mendez left (later known to go train the SIIIs). Perhaps a minor thing to be removed and retconned., but I liked the finality of that moment.
There’s a line in the Fall of Reach that basically says “It was the last time he ever saw Mendez”. That’s a paraphrase, but based on that I would say no.
I thought he was still inside the microdyson sphere with blue team, the other Spartan III’s, and halsey? I have yet to read the ending to Ghosts of onyx or glasslands.

You may want to try reading both of those to bring you up to speed a bit.
I wouldn’t really mind if that “never saw him again” part of FoR was retconned, but it’s also possible that they simply never cross paths while on the Infinity for whatever reason. Considering Mendez’s experience with training the previous Spartans, having him training the S-IV’s makes a lot of sense.

Well, 343i keeping book canon doesn’t seem to be a forte. Not saying that Mendez will be shown, but its not impossible.
There’s got to be at least a few familiar faces on board Infinity. After all, she’s filled with 17,000 of humanities best. Surely that includes Spartan II’s and III’s? Or are they no longer considered human?
Oh, and if there’s no Johnson then it’s not Halo. So what if he’s dead? It wont be the first time…

Mendez was at the Voi memorial reveal at the end of Halo 3. I don’t think we saw him though.
I don’t want that -Yoink- in the game.
