franklez confirms that the H5 plot been guessed!

so this just happened !! Time to dig through the theories everyone.

I asked him earlier this week with that reply. HYPE!!

EDIT:

I’d say its most likely a combination of
NinjaChickens Theory:
So, in short, here’s my theory. Spirit of Fire finally arrives in the Outer Colonies carrying a small population of Flood. Flood proliferate and become a serious problem again. Chief goes AWOL in order to seek out Mendicant Bias on the ruins of the Ark. ONI corruption and politics cause them to be pissed off at Chief. ONI sends Locke to go find him, Locke not realizing what Chief actually intends to do. Didact opposes the involvement of Mendicant Bias and gets tangled up in things. This theory explains everything seen in the one and only teaser thus far. Chief is on the Ark (there is plenty of evidence for this). The giant robot is Mendicant Bias’s sarcophagus, buried beneath the sand. The chip is not Cortana’s. In fact, it is meant for Mendicant Bias, but it reminds Chief of Cortana’s chip, thus the tenderness. If anyone is curious about how these things are explained, or my reasoning behind all of this, feel free to message me! Ciao!"

And some of Dr Halsey (DeceptionCobras) theory. It’s most likely a combination of sorts of these two theories!

Chief is trying to save Cortana, using blue team to help him. Sergeant doofus, aka agent Locke, is hunting them down because they are accused of treason.

I just feel like he is not over her because of the chip he is holding in the original e3 trailer. He just seemed so devastated after death. And we know she will play at least a small part in the game.

don’t get me wrong, i would love to see the story go a different direction.

I doubt its the cortana part.

Lemme get my shovel

I certainly hope my “Gravemind creating an illusion of Cortana” theory ends up at least partial right. But I doubt I’m that lucky.

Here you go

I just hope that the ones who guessed accurately are those with the theories regarding the Flood and Mendicant Bias and not some with Innies (not very interesting) and Master Chief Clones (somewhat super silly).

My Theory/Thoughts (Part 1):
[EDITED]
Del Rio said that Spartan II’s are ineffective and insufficient so Blue Team re-unites out of a fear of losing their “family”. John needs to save/find Cortana so he’s going to try to find/work with Dr. Halsey. Blue Team will come with John because they’re family and Dr. Halsey will be aided by Jul 'Mdama because Dr. Halsey will want to help John and she may threaten Jul into helping them. Agent Locke is trying to bring in Master Chief because he’s gone “rogue” and AWOL so Locke gains the help of the Arbiter. The Arbiter will go along with Locke and will either 1) realize that Locke has bad intentions and then aid John, or 2) he will realize that Jul 'Mdama (Thel’s enemy) is working with MC. ONI is trying to to destroy the Sangheili by increasing their Civil War’s affect. Arby may find out that ONI is helping Thel’s enemy so Thel might turn away from Locke and help John. Locke realized that taking down John won’t be easy so he assembles a team of new Spartans (Buck, Tanaka, & Macer). The UNSC will also be aiding Agent Locke (aswell as ONI) but John has some friends in the UNSC (marines he saved, Lasky, Sarah Palmer, other Spartans) so it may turn into a UNSC Civil War. But then, everything crumbles when the Flood returns to test humanity, again. All life is ripped away and that is when the Master Chief is needed the most. Everyone realizes that John Spartan-117 has been the key to saving the Universe the whole time. They accused him of such terrible things and now, now it’s too late. Too many lives are lost but still everyone comes together to defeat the Flood. At the end (maybe by Halo 6), John is about to activate the Halo Rings. The Flood is stronger than ever and there’s no one that can help the Chief now…except Cortana. The Gravemind has Chief trapped and is about to finish him once and for all while he is starting to destroy the weapon of mass destruction. Chief sees a vision a Cortana, inspiring him. Cortana says, “Chief, I need you.” John is stunned that he saw Cortana but he is excited and joyful. Even though he doesn’t believe he can win, he tries one final attempt anyway. He manages to break away from Gravemind’s grasp and he presses the activation counsole. The Rings activate, fire, and everything is obliterated. John did it, he got the job done. The Flood is gone, once and for all… but so is everything else.

Now that was greatly written, I hope some form of that story comes to pass, jeez, such a dark terrible time may lay ahead for thr chief. ;O

Yeah, no matter what is ahead is going to be pretty dark. Personally I’m trying to think of some other theories that may be good, but most that I’ve seen are essentially what I would consider to be plot points rather than the entire plot. The Ark Theory is alluring in this regard but I can’t think of a theory with a beginning, middle and end.

The only parts that seem HALO with that is chief finding halsey, but a whole game just back and forth from chief and locke and whos BFF’s with who doesnt seem HALO at all i mean, with the flood and so many factions and the return of the forerunners and the mystery that shrouds halo in general, those theories ( no disrespect at all) are to simplistic for a good story.

Wow, that’s an amazing theory. Good work, Halsey. +1

Im beggining to wonder now if franklez meant that the reclaimer saga had been guessed(or at least the rough idea theyre going for) as opposed to just H5 due to the fact that theyre set up for far to many things to cram into just H5 alone.

Agreed 100000% xD

XD Im trying to scoure through any theory i can possibly remember on here about H5.

Ok, now EVERYONE try to find the most legit theory out of the hundreds that have been put out there. Maybe if were lucky we can find the right one in 2 years!

The fact that people actually came to that conclusion is truly frightening.

I hope I haven’t read it yet. Nothing I’ve heard has fit perfectly to what we already know at least.

-Yoink!-, time to stay off the forums until the game releases.
