Frankie on how Halo 4 will end.

Frankie said that Halo 4 would kind of be like A New Hope in that the battle would be over but the war is still going on. What do you think will happen by this? I think the Didact will awaken an ancient army and Chief destroys them, similar to Luke destroying the Death Star.

I think that Frankie should honestly consider the option of stop telling us what’s going to happen in the story cause we want to find out for ourselves.

Haha so true.

can you please change your title OP? You just spoiled the campaign for us in some ways.

It’d be like saying “the end of Skyrim has a Saw-like twist at the end,” and then we go into the game expecting a plot twist.

Halo CE ended like A New Hope too.

Master Chief defeated the Flood and destroyed Halo. But the fight wasn’t over.

Sorry, fixed it now.

This.

Frankie hasn’t really told us anything, just that Halo 5, 6 will have a bigger plot.

and risk to walts into another ME3? No thanks…tell me everything please

I don’t think we’ll get an ending like ME3, especially after the uproar of it.

Mass Effect 3 is an amazing game. Sure, the original ending was kind of bad, but it was greatly improved after the Extended Cut and Leviathan.

This.

So long as the ending is like Halo 2 where it would just stop, I’m fine.

Halo 1 started and ended. Halo 2 started and stopped. Halo 3 picked up sometime after and then finally ended.

Still found those packs to be mediocre at best to be honest.

True for most of us.

But some people DO like to get as much info about as many things as possible. They can’t help themselves. And I’m sure Frankie, like the rest of 343i, is so excited about Halo 4’s release that they can’t help themselves either.

I think this is to be expected.

I mean, they did announce that there will be a trilogy already.

^ This

But not everyone wants to stay dark. If you do, I highly suggest you stay out of the Halo 4 section as there are going to be those that don’t care about the spoilers talking. Or if you choose to stay, stop coming into threads with spoiler-ish natures and then complaining about them.

We also know Requiem doesn’t blow up and John doesn’t leave Requiem because Spartan Ops takes place 6 months after the end of the Campaign and it’s been confirmed that you’ll meet John in Spartan Ops.

But because there’s going to a Halo 5 and 6, what Frankie said here didn’t really spoil anything. So I forgive him for this.

I sincerely hope you didn’t think anything less of the campaign’s conclusion. It’s blatantly obvious the ending will reflect that very quote- anyone who thinks otherwise is woefully inept at basic storytelling structure. Not to be mean. Just to be blunt.

> I think that Frankie should honestly consider the option of stop telling us what’s going to happen in the story cause we want to find out for ourselves.

Agreed.
But this doesn’t say anything. Franky basically kicks in an open door here.
I mean: name me 1 trilogy in which the first chapter doesn’t end with the first battle being won, only to open up to far more greater things.

ME did it. Star Wars did it. Halo did it. Aliens did it. LotR did it. Matrix did it. and the list goes on and on.

Its simply inherent to a series/trilogy that the first chapter reveals a threat and deals with the confined struggle to destroy that icon of evil. And its just as standard that the 2nd chapter goes deeper into the storyline, expanding everything, with the 3rd chapter being the closer.

Long story short: everybody should have known this based upon their experience with media. These are no spoilers at all.
