I think Franky was merely using rock puns because the person asking the question was as well. I wouldn’t take it as anything significant.
Actually he said iode because he said polarize and the plus and minus indicated charge. An ion has a certain charge. The guy he was responding to referenced magnetism three times.

He said LODE not IODE, but yeah, pretty much the same point as mine. He’s just using ore puns because the previous poster was.
LODE as in lodestone! It was a light-bending rock used by the Vikings for sea navigation. ‘Chip off the old lodestone’ meant navigating the same way as your father, etc. It was an early sextant/compass, playing along with the magnetism and rock jokes. /nerd

I agree but this is exactly the kind of post he will use some times to give hints. I could be wrong but I bet this is definitely a hint.

No. A contradiction is like saying something is hot and cold at the same time. You asked why that guy isn’t banned for non-constructive posts. Your post is also non-constructive to the thread at hand. Ergo, you are being ironic.
