This is the one single Halo game I would be really excited about. I’m looking foward to the Mister Chief Collection (whoops! ^~^ ), but HW2 would be so much more interesting. And truth be told, HW1 really lost all of its glamour. Upgrading it to 2.0 is so totally needed! Is there no developer brave enough to try?

It was a fun little tease during it’s time, but I don’t think Microsoft would have allowed a third party title to appear in the trailer for it’s exclusive remake, so it probably just stuck with Halo Wars just for exclusivity’s sake.
Now where have I heard that one before… oh yeah, the Halo 2 remake that 343 assured us definitely wasn’t being made.

Oh well, there’s still the paragraph that Phil Spencer said in an interview that explicitly stated that not only did he have a lot of interest in the idea, but also how he and Bonnie Ross had had several conversations about making the game to hold faith in.
Halo Wars 2 may not be in development at the moment, but I highly that Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft’s Xbox division, would make such a giant statement about it if it wasn’t on 343i’s “to-do” list.
And speaking of “to-do lists”, everyone remember when Franke specifically stated that Halo 2: Anniversary “wasn’t on 343’s to-do list”?
Look where we are now.
I’m calling it now: Wars 2 and Guardians (obviously) for next E3. Man would I love an ODST sequel too.

What would be really awesome with another Halo Wars game would be having it set in the Human-Forerunner War.
Imagine fighting a three-way battle between the Ancient Humans and the Forerunners and the Flood.
Imagine space battles woven in the shadow of Precursor Star Roads.
Imagine trying to prevent the Flood from taking over a planet and spreading through your fleet.
Imagine a dual-campaign following Forthencho and the Didact.
Imagine seeing the Primordial in HD CGI cutscenes.
Better yet, it being set in the H-F War would get the audience familiar with the Precursors without having to dwelve into expanded media.
Halo Wars: Genesis (that is easily the most cliched, most overused name in existence, but I’ll take it anyway.)

That would be just as cool, though there is already a comic book called Halo Wars: Genesis that came with the Limited Edition of the game.
343s classic not on our to do list like, make a halo 2 anniversary.

Remastering games just for the sake of remastering them is a bad practice.
CE was the start of Halo, and especially the start of Xbox.
Halo 2 revolutionized online multiplayer, starting many of the systems we seentoday.
Halo 3…?
Halo 3 doesn’t really have a deeper meaning like the others. And to be honest, it really doesn’t look that bad. The 1080p, 60 fps of the MCC version will touch it up nicely.
I believe, and hope, that Halo 2 is the last game getting Anniversary treatment.

If they are currently working on a Halo Wars 2 I don’t think it’s going to be on Xbox1, I think it’s going to be on PC.(and probably wont focus on Spirit of Fire)
One of the big heads at Microsoft commented on E3 saying they only show console stuff, not PC games. So if one is being developed and for Xbox1 i would have expected at least a announcement or CGI trailer.
As for SoF I have a feeling they are going to use that in Halo 5 to bring back the flood based on escalation, so we’ll probably see another ship during the human covenant war. If so i hope we get to see Omega team team up with whatever the other ship is.

I can’t see an actual point behind an H3A. The game will already be playable on the Xbox One, it didn’t really revolutionize anything like how Halo CE and 2 did, and IMO, it wasn’t that great of a game to begin with.
Needless to say, I will be very disappointed if “anniversaries” continue to happen.
