Frankie comments on "Forerunner vision"

The Halo Council on Twitter recently posted Frankie’s comment on Forerunner vision:

> Halo 4 tidbit - "You cannot use Forerunner Vision to see players anywhere on the map. Absolutely not. " - Frankie

Well a while ago he compared halo 4 MP to counter strike with mods, so…
wall hacks reconfirmed!

Well, that’s good. Maybe it’ll be just on your level of a multi-tiered map, or within 5 metres or something.

This man is a god.

Fantastic. In that case though, what does Forunner Vision do? Acquaint new players with map layouts? Show you all weapons on map? We shall find out soon…

Me, or Frankie?

@MothyTim- It’s pretty much x-ray vision.

Then wtf is the purpose of forerunner vision? I think it’s a lie anyway. I don’t believe a word of what 343 says anymore.

This Forerunner vision is most likely only going to let you see through the walls in the room you’re in and that’s all.

CQB?

Soooo… all this ‘‘U CAN C ENEMY THRUOGH WALLs’’ was just a rumor?.

it could be like Gears 3 where you can see where weapon spawns are located and where your teammates are, regardless of obstacles, if this is the case, it will definitely help casual players without braking the skill gap

Well, then, you’ll be having fun for the time being.

> Soooo… all this ‘‘U CAN C ENEMY THRUOGH WALLs’’ was just a rumor?.

No, you can see them through walls, you just can’t see everyone on the map.

maybe its the aa that you start with that shows the weapon location and all that so when u get enough points for the next one u know where everything is and dont need it

Frankie. But thanks for the link :stuck_out_tongue:

Good I’m more relived now, I would love to see where the special weapons are on the maps!

It’s essentially x-ray vision.

Maybe its more like a visr 2.0. Makes invisible enemies easier to see, and can highlight weapons on the map :).

You can definitely tell that 343 wants to talk about the game in a more detailed way, but Microsoft made them sign a damn contract with GameInformer so their mouths are shut to keep people on their feet and so that GameInformer will be able to sell more issues as this is the reason behind their contract with GameInformer, to sell more copies of the magazine…

But back to the subject, I can tell that the employees at 343i would love to talk about the game more and probably release it now if they could but they are contractually obligated to certain things and we should all learn to accept that it is over their heads. There are many things that are binding them from explaining all of this… unfortunately.

The only thing I see this getting used for is to find the HLG “players”. Just like all the other Halos, you’ll know where they’re at anyways, it’s not CoD. You don’t hide in a corner the entire game with a shot gun. Halo is about map control, you can’t have map control hiding. It’s most likely going to be a piece of garbage nobody will touch unless they plan on playing Halo like it’s CoD. Even with the random weapon drops you still have to have map control to get to the weapons easier (unless it drops in enemies spawn). I see people complaining about things that’ll hardly effect anything, but anyway’s we’ll see, it’s still too early to get your -Yoink!- in a bunch.
