Bring back the consistent 60fps. Some of the drops on the new forge maps make the game unplayable at moments,
I know that Unyshek has been working with forgers to try and sort out a lot of these issues, but also know that the wider issues that surround this aren’t somethinng that can be fixed for Halo 5. THis is from last week’s Community Update:

> Uny has been busy tidying up some of the Forge offerings in Matchmaking that were disrupted upon the release of Monitor’s Bounty. Specifically he’s been working with content creators to fix and restore Rift Ball (still under way), fixing that pesky insta-spawning Shotgun on Pegasus II (done!), attempting to fix the spawn trap on Pegasus II (done!), and Uny and the original creators have made some performance optimizations to improve framerate with Pegasus II and Orion II.
There’s some tweets from Tom French in my post here where he talks about the wider issue: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/58b8518e005f432381ab99fbcaf931e0/topics/orion-ii-significiant-frame-rate-drop/d6ffa188-4090-4a3c-aceb-9bd8e89db084/posts?page=1#post3
Well that’s a bummer. My favorite game mode use to be BTB, but since the refresh of the maps, and the framerate drops that came with them, it’s really difficult on my eyes to play. I don’t seem to remember all these framerate issues at launch, the game seemed really smooth. Was it just from the forge that caused these to pop up?
Tom seems to be hinting towards that, with the inclusion of features like material overlays.
Couldn’t they revert most maps back to the originals that didn’t experience this framerate drop without doing a massive overhaul? Seems like that would be the logical solution.
The forge maps are awful, I really don’t like them being in the Slayer playlist. The only one that looks and plays half decent is White Cell.
Pegasus 2 - unplayable when you’re at Red Base. The framerate drops to a crazy low level. Isn’t Halo 5’s engine supposed to be locked at 60fps? I thought it dropped the resolution when there was a lot going on, and the resolution does look low in Pegasus 2. It honestly feels like my Xbox is below the minimum requirements for this map.
Orion 2, not as bad as Pegasus 2, but has it’s moments. Looks pretty ugly too.
No offence to the people who designed these forge maps, to be fair I think they did a great job. There’s clearly just a performance issue, so the visual quality gets dropped and the framerate also dies. 343 please either fix them or take them out.
I don’t even get why Pegasus was taken out? I liked it, had great fun playing on that map.
It’s really too bad the framerate took a such a dive since launch, thought games became more polished over time… More content is great, but not at the expense of performance.
When is this going to get fixed? Forge maps are literally unplayable at times.

I don’t understand why maps with frame rate issues are in playlists. Big Team was ruined by the ‘update’ of which every map now has significant frame rate drops in multiple areas. Now with Pegasus and Orion 2. Just outrageous. WHY? GET THESE MAPS OUT OF HALO 5.
