Has anyone noticed occasional frame rate dips on Remnant? It’s are irritating me.
I noticed this when I loaded it up in Forge. I haven’t played an actual match on it yet, but when I deleted all the objects on the map, it went away for the most part. I still noticed a tiny little bit of FR drop in some areas when the map was empty. The reason it looks so bad in Forge is because the game registers the graphics of all the game type items like spawns and such that would normally be invisible during game play. More objects = lower frame rate.
A little off topic, but I want the devs to read this, I noticed that they set the map’s default kill zones way too low and put kill zones way too close to the beach, like right where the land meets the water. We can’t delete these in Forge for more elbow room. This was very unnecessary and very annoying. The map’s play zone is way too confined. The Forge menu allows for banshees and hornets, yet there is absolutely no room to fly them in at all. This has become a trend for Certain Affinity, as whoever is finalizing these maps probably has no idea what goes on in the Forge department. (like one team develops the forge mode, while the map designers are in a different department on a different floor with no communication at all between the two.) This has been going on since the Reach Defiant map pack.
I noticed it as well especially towards the middle of the map, and underneath the forerunner structure. I really wouldn’t mind if they would just downscale the resolution for MCC if it achieved a solid 60 fps. We all know the xbone is not as powerful as the ps4; so just do what you can to achieve the best frame rate.
