Frame rate lag related to the gungoose

After a little luck discovering this and then testing it over and over, it’s been discovered that most(if not all) of the frame rate lag that happens in warzone games is related to close range gungoose shots. It happens every time you shoot anyone or anything (enemy Spartans, marines or teammates) at pretty close range, I’d say within 10 feet. This can definitely be exploited and manipulated and needs to be addressed.

This. The rubber banding is 100% caused by this. It’s repeatable and unrelated to connection latency. If you fire directly into a wall over and over again you can literally lag the game for everyone in the game. It’s wild. There must be some weird physics going on with the explosions. Gotta fix it 344.

Oh gosh, now the whole Waypoint community knows how to cause those terrible frame rate drops.

Monitors please delete this we don’t want trolls running around.

It’s been doing it with all vehicles lately.

proof, this happened to me a while back but this is still proof that gungooses cause lag.

really?? That’s the cause of it? that needs to be fixed ASAP

Wow, well… that’s a hell of an oversight.
And so is the AIMING system developing input lag and other discrepancies in accordance with the connection to the server. Aiming can feel smooth and fluid one game and then completely broken the next, leaving me feeling like I’ve never played a video game before because I can’t line up a couple shots before I’m dead. Aiming is, in my opinion and that of many others, the SINGLE most important thing to get right in a shooter and it’s just wrong here.

The first rule of Gungoose club is you do not talk about Gungoose club.

Sounds great, but the only way to get this stuff fixed is to publicize it. 343 sat on the Warzone Assault bug (kills the marines in the armory before the shields were down) for months until everyone started exploiting it. There is no good way to report bugs to 343 at all other than make a mockery of the game until everyone complains about it.

Had a game last night that did this when the gungoose was firing.

what the what?!?! Great discovery! thx
