Frame rate in split screen

I would like to shine light on this game’s frame rate issues so that 343 might be able to correct them in the coming update. This game was advertised as classic Halo games restored to 60 fps. Unfortunately, the game struggles to maintain this. It is most egregious in Halo 2 Anniversary, with the multiplayer component being the biggest offender. The game frequently dips below 60 fps whenever players enter close quarter combat. It only compounds when more players are packed in one area. This makes shooting and dodging very difficult and disorienting. If you really want to see how bad this gets, try playing Halo 2 Anniversary in split screen. My friend and I can’t stand it. It’s a blurry, choppy mess, even on smaller levels. On big levels, like Stonetown, it’s a nightmare. Playing H2A in split screen just isn’t feasible.

Unfortunately, this split screen problem also extends to Halo 2 Classic multiplayer. I think the game is poorly optimized. How can a game built for the original Xbox not achieve 60 fps in split screen on hardware from two generations ahead?

Has anyone else experienced these problems?

(One further request: can yall change the BR crosshair in H2A back to the classic form? The newer crosshair makes target acquisition more difficult. It also needs to scale for split screen. In H2A, the crosshairs are too big in split screen).
