I know it’s only been two days since release, but I heard that 343i not only ignored advice to reduce the explosive radius of the Frags, but actually increased them since the Beta!
343i realistically speaking the game is marginally well balanced and forces players to utilize the entirety of the given sandbox. That’s great! However the Frag Grenades are actually overperforming.
The biggest issue plaguing the arena, hell practically the only thing wrong with the game is grenade spam. I’d recommend a reduction in explosive power, however there may be more creative solutions that we can brainstorm than a simple nerf. For instance I’d suggest an increase on the timer of the grenade before it explodes to allow people to react just a little bit better to what they encounter on the field.

grenades are easy to dodge in the open, the only time I’ve ever really been killed by a nad is in Breakout, or when I’m trying to sneak around a corner and they realize I’m there.

The problem I find happens to occur on Arena maps which are all very tight and close quarters, meaning dodging grenades is frequently an impossible task.
It’s not too bad dodging them. They work fine. I’ve played a fair bit of arena, and I haven’t noticed anything too powerful about them. Especially because jumping and thrusting will easily get you away, and it’s rare to not be able to dodge. I think they fit well into the sandbox.
You have multiple ways to dodge nade now, if your in a small space then a nade should be a problem but out in the open you can easily get away with thrusters.
I agree that the nades seem overpowered, and it doesn’t help that people spam them so much in the very tight, small maps. They don’t seem as much as a problem in warzone due to the bigger maps or breakout due to only spawning with one.
