Frag grenades that dont really frag

The Halo Infinite frag grenades dont really frag, I mean the point of a frag grenade is the normal explosion radius+the shrapnel. the closest thing to a frag we have is the spike nades and those dont even bounce, so why does halo even call it that?!?!

  • Like current Fragmentation grenades
  • Make Frag nades frag
  • Add a Power Grenade that has a special spawn and frags but also bounces
  • Or add splinter grenade

In real life yes, in at least Halo the frag grenade acts as a confined AOE weapon. It always has, it should always do this.

HI frag grenades are childish. The visual and sound effects are lame and non-lasting. They’d once produce an impactful explosion sound effect and lots of smoke. They would also leave the ground scorched for several seconds. You could tell that a fight went on when passing by scorched ground or that a battle is ongoing at a far away distance. This combined with plenty of other underwhelming stuff in HI multiplayer matches, make battles really boring for me. At this point I’d dare say that Fortnite looks like a more brutal and serious FPS.

It actually kills me how lacking this game is compared to Halo 3 explosives and bullet/shrapnel ricochet. The brute grenade spikes and supercombine needler needles do almost do damage too, and don’t bounce off walls either. Frags should frag, and we should have clusterbombs by now too. Don’t expect much from a game where gravity hammers don’t affect gravity, and vehicles hardly break apart when damaged

343 even had to go in and change the explosions for rockets and grenades, because of desync

From a audio visual perspective sure, but they’re effective from a gameplay perspective, even a bit too effective based on backlash here and Reddit.

I wish grenades weren’t as spammy in this game, while at the same time widening their AOE.
IDK Grenades in general just feel off in Halo Infinite. Sticks phase through people, and someone can be in the middle of an explosion and take almost no damage.
Seriously I cannot gauge how much of the game is unbalanced or not because I likewise can’t tell what is desync or the game working like it should.

Yeah, true that, they are a bit too effective and also kind of invisible - you don’t easily see them landing in order to try to dodge them. Which reminds me of another visual issue. These frag grenades and plasma grenades used to be deflected by other explosions and explode far above the ground… and it was fun…

Vehicles like warthogs and ghosts can’t climb up short ledges/pavements, and I think that’s an even bigger issue than how they look when breaking up. They are lame and not worthy stunt material like they used to be. Remember how the ghost once used to be able to do a wheelie that was actually useful? Remember how you could exit a warthog’s gunner seat at any angle? All of that is history.

The banshee is the biggest disgrace. It can’t fly in circles or take really tight turns. You’re not going to have aerial dogfights that last more than a mere seconds - only people hitting the turbo to escape the fight.

When has HI even followed the old games? I mean the maps, soooo different vehicles arent even something worth getting into, and 343 doesnt even seem to care so why not have a new grenade. If there isa monitor reading this post, plese talk to 343i about this.
