So with Fractures being a way to plug non-canon cosmetics into Infinite, which can go wild and break conventions of Spartan armor design. The question needs to be asked, can this lead to crossovers with other Microsoft-owned IPs?
What I see coming from this is crossovers with games to get cosmetics from those games.
Doom crossover? Stuff like the Praetor Suit, Vega personal AI, possibly even classic Doomguy armor.
Fallout? Power armor, with various helmets and other set pieces from the games, Cogsworth personal AI etc.
Gears of War? CoG armor with options for the different Carmine helmets, Onyx Guard and stuff like that.
So the question is, to crossover or not to crossover? I can see a lot of Halo fans going either way. Some of us also love these games and would get a kick out of having armor from them. Others would prefer Halo keep in line with Spartan designs, especially since the art style has finally gotten to a place everyone seems happy with, and the idea of Fractures breaking that mold to begin with is already kind of scary.
I think so long as Fractures stick to stuff that’s cool instead of pushing into silly, joke skins (no pizza skin repeats please) we will probably be in a fine spot, even if there are crossovers.
