It is too small, spawns are terrible, and there are too many power weapons.
I was literally spawn killed for the entire match that I just played on it.
I designed it to be a punishing tug of war map. The spawns are a byproduct of Halo 5s spawning mechanics.

I understand that the spawns in Halo 5 are just bad overall, and I’m not blaming you for that. Just making an observation. I do think that the amount of weapons/vehicles make it too easy for one team to take control of a map though. Two Mantises is too much IMO.
Is this a new map? What playlist is it?
Going by 343’s track record, I’m sure all these new maps will have problems come up eventually.

No map is perfect, but 343s track record is irrelevent here. These are all community made maps that have been thouroughly tested for nearly two months.

At the end of the day, 343 are the ones who have the final say on everything including things like spawns, weapon/vehicle placements, and quality control. All of those things were a problem in some form on the original maps, and I think a few of them could’ve been easily discovered if they were properly tested so that’s why I mentioned their track record. If these new maps were thoroughly tested like you say, then my hopes are higher for good gameplay with minimal problems.
Edit: I just noticed this was moved to the Feedback forum. I guess that’s why there weren’t many new threads/responses being made.
Sorry but it’s not a bad map at all. Spawns can be dodgy due to it’s small size, but ultimately the spawns are only really a problem when one team and significantly worse than the other - and then, well sure, it’s punishing as hell.
If you get a nice even game on it where you do better and get some kills you’ll probably see it differently.
It’s only been out a day…give it a few tries to see if you can figure out how to play on it before you start calling for it’s removal please.

The map is fun, for the Loadout gunfights. I felt like I was getting sniped as soon as I spawned, but that may be once again due to bad luck.
Also, I don’t think Mantises are a good choice for this map, it’s too cramped, and unless they weren’t intended to have a full on Metal Gear duel, then by the time they meet they’ve already been half damaged xD
I don’t understand the problem here, I honestly think it’s one of the better maps that was added with a really nice layout to boot. The two mantises barely even do much damage as it is, and they’re too weak to be a nuisance thanks to the power weapons available to take it down the moment it moves.
