I too am stuck at level 7 cause there were only 7 challenges available for the event.
Agreed, not being able to play the event through is annoying, spanning over 3 months is weird. Not much actual customization in the event, just like the battle pass, more than half the Event is XP grants and challenge swaps, with only 6 cosmetic items out of 30 levels. Event challenges should also be separate from regular challenges, that totally takes away from it. Also yes they advertised armor for the event that isnt even available through doing the event?? Lots of things are right with this game, progression and event is not one of them.

Here is my quick fix to help the progression be worthwhile and not take too long for dev. It will also encourage players to play and win without worrying too much of doing specific challenges.
Change daily challenges from playing a match to getting Double kills or Headshots. Daily give more XP.
Static XP earn system (per match).
1 Match Played (Loss/Tie) = 50 XP
1 Match Played (Win) = 75XP
1 Match Played (Win/Top of Leaderboard) = 100XP
Later on add xp per medal kill/assist/objective/medal.
Hope this gets added soon because dailies are just redundant and a bad gimmick.
Also who was the idiot who decided that the final challenge for a fun randomized event was 5 killing sprees? Do something fun that makes you use different weapons. They have amateurs do all of the customizations and events

Also I just put this together, 3 separate weeks for event, you can only do 7 levels each week which is only 21 total out the 30 event levels??? How do I get the last 9 levels? I dont see a way to pay, but I don’t want one either, for battle pass thats cool but for an event I want to be able to earn by playing. But also more than half the levels are xp grants or challenge swaps so thats stupid too.

It’s honestly such a joke. Not only this, but the store items aren’t even that great as far as colors go. The coating system and coatings provided are so lackluster. Nothing feels unique. Feels more like we all chose from a select set of characters instead of actually customized. If it stays like this, I totally see Halo MP dying out by summer and being left desolate with just the sycophants as a player base. Halo is borderline becoming a toxic mobile app game with paywalls everywhere. The store shouldn’t even exist at this point because I have ZERO confidence they will maintain a healthy balance. They will throw F2P a bone once in a blue moon, just to hope they stick around to buy -Yoink!- later.
This is an obvious cash grab. I’d rather have paid $60.

Honestly I like the theme of the event and I understand 343’s monetization scheme, nobody is making anyone buy anything. But the fact that more than half of the event battle pass is challenge swaps and xp boosts, and then they cap your progress in it each time the event comes back is just dumb. Make a battle pass with 10 good items, let me unlock them as fast as I want if that’s all you have.

when you view the challenges press Y for controller or the R key for keyboard to see more upcoming challenges, you have to complete other challenges to get the other event challenges to show up, i am a free to play user and i got the armor, but i had to jump from playlist to playlist the whole way to get normal challenges done to get the other event challenges, i just sweated the whole time.

I still haven’t been able to match the level of fun the vid master was. Especially that ODST challenge, and the 4 ghosts at the end of 3.

Literally 16, 16!!! they are just challenge swaps and double boosts, bruh. Sincerely a spectacular event
they want you to have a core with no equippable items on it for the longest possible time while the cash shop has customisation items for purchase for that core.
no event will ever be designed around player satisfaction.
