FPS boost (Xbox Series X | S )

You guys, think H5G will have an FPS boost soon??
Yesterday I was playing Battlefield V at 120 fps, and then moved to Halo 5 at 60 fps, it was weird, gameplay felt heavy and “slow”. 120Hz is a game changer on first person shooters.

The first wave of FPS boost games were mostly Ubisoft, second were full Bethesda, and yesterday wave were all EA games.

May be possible a Microsoft only games wave for FPS boost announced on E3?? Hope Halo 5 gets 120 fps, also games like Recore, Ryse, Quantum Break and many more gets 60 fps.

I doubt it. Similar to the titles in the MCC, H5 would need some modifications to properly support higher FPS. Things like physics calculations would behave very differently and probably incorrectly at 120 FPS. Battlefield V works well because it’s also available on PC with higher FPS support. A significant amount of work went into future proofing the MCC’s frame rates and I don’t think H5 will get support for this reason.

GTAIV is a notable example of higher FPS breaking things like the final mission. I imagine there will be plenty of issues like this with H5, unless 343 patches the game.

Excellent analysis here. Only reason they’d make this investment was if they were porting it to PC which I just don’t see happening

I wouldn’t expect any sort of enhancement patch for Halo 5 on the Xbox Series consoles. They have made it pretty clear that they don’t plan on doing much beyond maintaining the game at this point.

So bad H5 is not getting enhancements or updates, is the only Halo FPS game in that situation lol

There are only two Halo games in the current generation, so it’s not like H5 is one of like 10 games not getting any attention.

MCC is literally 6 games in 1 lol, but I got your point

Halo 5 is already on PC lmao, it’s just the Custom Games portion though.

Precisely - more work would be required to bring the rest of it - hence the discussion comes down to is the effort worth the reward?
