Since we know Halo 6 isn’t coming out until next year and probably won’t feature any of the Banished (hopefully I’m wrong). I was thinking what if they make they next “filler” Halo game is a FPS halo where you play as red team or something like that and face the Banished and maybe actually give Halo Wars 2 a closure. I just think it would be cool to see all the cool and terrifying looking banished looking units in first person and being able to pickup Banished weapons and drive Banished vehicles.
Or, hear me out, we play AS the Banished.
My favorite parts of Halo 2 were playing as the Arbiter and seeing how the Covenant was from the inside. We saw glimpses of this in Awakening the Nightmare, and I’d love to see the Banished fleshed out more.
Halo has a massive amount of possibilities for the setting of a game. I hope that we’ll see a good standalone game in the future i.e. not a sequel or remaster.
Playing as Atriox against the Covenant or UNSC would be pretty cool.

Yes. Maybe like Halo 2 we play as both sides facing each other and then Cortana shows up with her prometheans and the remaining Banished and UNSC forces band together to stop Cortana from controlling the Ark. It would be interesting to see Atriox and Cutter forced to worked together loike that scene in Halo 3 with Rtas Vadum and Lord Hood in Shadow of Intent.
