That’s field of view, it affects aim assist in halo infinite. The maximum (aim assist possible) appears to be at the lowest (possible field of view) it seems\ the second highest amount of aim assist given is at max (fov) while around the 103 - 110 (fov range) you get almost no aim assist at all. This is glitching out tho because after I set my (fov) to maximum, played for a minute then changed it back to 110 it appeared as though I had kept the same amount of aim assist, as when I played at maximum (fov). I think one of two things are happening here, (aim assist) is tied to the size of your crosshairs and upuntil a certain size where your crosshairs gains basically negative (aim assist), then at the very end (max field of view) you receive a portion of that (aim assist) back. Orrrr my personal favorite theory that 343i have made some sorta dev cheat code deal, that is yet to be figured out and they use it for who knows what. All jokes aside I personally don’t understand the need for your field of view to affect aim assist, most games give you a high, medium, low setting somewhere in the interface. Why halo infinite can’t do the same idk but it bothers me and it should bother you too.
