FOV affecting aim

While I was initially playing the second infinite flight, my aiming was atrocious. Trying to adjust the various settings for mouse and keyboard proved to be ineffective as the aiming itself was very clunky. Then I noticed that my FOV had been set back to 78 even though I originally set it to 110 for the first infinite flight. As soon as I set the FOV to 110 my aiming immediately improved and everything was much more smooth. Has anyone else experienced this game breaking feature?

Yup lmao, I think the game was built to be played on max FOV.

I don’t think there is any issue with aim assist. It doesn’t feel too strong or too weak.

Aiming just felt awful on default FOV, I also changed a bunch of other settings and after was absolutely shredding Spartan bots.

I played on my Xbox and I set the FOV to 100 right at the beginning, it was terrible. Later on I messed with the settings again and turned the FOV back down to like around 85 and it did improve. It still wasn’t perfect but it was smoother.

How is that game-breaking? That is just personal preference. Just like how I don’t understand how people prefer to sit 3 inches away from their display.

FOV is only meant to show how much you can see on a screen, not literally be the difference be the difference between clunky and smooth controls.
