“”"""I been playing competitively since halo 1 (not so much anymore more), and a very good halo player. With that said… I use left stick for this game 90% of the time. and have high accuracy I think 51% as average You have to use mostly left stick in this game due to low bullet magnetism and low “friction” meaning your crosshair slows down when crosshairs are on top of the enemy. Not to mention the acceleration in which a enemy can strafe back and fourth.
To combat this issue 343 allowed controller players have a tracking system, which basically aims for you when ever it detects user input on the right stick, that’s why when you have stick drift in this game you can trick the tracking system to start tracking for you.
You would think that having smaller “aim assist” (not talking about tracking part of aim assist) in this game it would be harder to aim in this game, that’s not the case if you compare BR stats as far as accuracy to older halos like 2-3 you will see that the average accuracy is a lot lower (this game would have even higher accuracy if it wasn’t for descopes when getting hit). In older halos you relied way more on right stick to aim, and used left stick for movement independent of your aim for the most part.
anyways I think they should remove the tracking system all together, because its broken if you can cheat the system just by having low drift settings.""""
“”""“BRO, this is exactly what I’ve been saying bro. Everyone looks at me like I’m crazy or I dont know what I’m talking about. I come from cod, where right stick aiming is heavy asf. And ur strafing is completely independent from your right stick. Although this latest cod Vanguard feels the same way as infinite to me. When I try to use my right stick it just feels hella loose and I feel like I dont have aim assist at all. But when I dont try to aim and just use my left stick I start getting the slow down or stickiness. So when I first started playing halo infinite with years of built up right stick aiming and independent strafe, I was completely thrown off. The aiming is just so counterintuitive. This game literally has no skill gap whatsoever. It’s so noob friendly and burger esque. Good players dont get to actually show off or use their skills at all. Everyone’s pov looks the same. I’m mindblown that I’ve finally found someone that gets it lol, u should add me on Twitter or discord, I would love to go more in depth and talk about this crap. “””"""
“”"" this game definitely feels way different from previous Halos. I only realized like last week that if I just use my right stick less and mostly use my left stick I have much better accuracy. Aim assist is non-existent when you’re using the right stick and it’s so frustrating. When you’re going up against casuals or above average players it’s so much easier to get kills because your opponent is just little side to side movements. It’s when you go up against players who start moving a lot and start crouching in gun fights that you have to use the right stick more. “”""
My conclusion is, projectile bullets would solve a lot of this as they require right stick aiming, strafing alone wouldnt work.
