Found Latin in HW2

Found the following on screen after looking at the controller option in options and extras:

lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipising elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi utaliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmond tempor incididunt.

I don’t know much Latin, but what i can read say something about “years to come” and “another”. Can anyone translate?

This was an old excerpt from a writer (Cicero) in the 1500’s it was pretty much what he used to fill blank pages as place holders. I’m assuming that’s what they are being used for in the game as well. Just a placement holder for a menu to come.

If you want a rough translation though, it reads:

> Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?

Very interesting that they would devote storage space to a placeholder. Thank you.

Like Pie said, it’s used as a placeholder, it’s pretty common, if you’ve ever used MS Powerpoint or any similar application, you can see the “Lorem Ipsum” phrase as a sample text for titles, subtitles, etc.
