Ah, now I can watch the other rig get devoured in peace…
The map was designed that way intentionally and it was an example of how the Spartan abilities change map playability, I use that ledge all the time in stayed to mess with people.
The ledge is supposed to be used to flank the enemy. Sprint, Jump and thrust to the left or right and there you go.
I see people do that, it doesn’t even really take any effort to get there. Kind of a way to test the ability.
You can drop from Tower 2 onto that ledge to sneak into Tower 1. It gets used all the time.
I only found that ledge out of necessity, I was playing slayer and my entire team quit which left me 1 v 4, so I hid and discovered that ledge
It is actually part of the map
It has its own callout Flank Steak
“Patch in a window” lmao I chuckled. This was not some overlooked area by the dev team. It’s intentional.
It’s supposed to be there. It’s to traverse that way without being seen.
That is supposed to be there, notice it has a custom callout in the bottom left.
Wow thanks for all of the responses you guys appreciate it! A lot of you seem to know that spot is intended to be traversed!

Definitely not as sharp as I used to be!
Guess I was just surprised when I stumbled upon it and the other team had no idea how to get to where I was so I thought that it wasn’t a widely known spot!

Yeah, I can see why you’d be surprised. It definitely doesn’t seem like an actual part of the map at first.
I found that when doing my usual map exploring trying to find ways out of the map solo. It is a hobby. I like to see the entire map, including places that you normally cant see, partially to see the work that goes into them and partially for a challenge, as well as looking for hidden things, like the Grunt in Riptide.
