How do you get the fotus armor
From REQ packs?

More specifically, Gold Packs.
You unlock the Fotus armor through opening Gold Packs. The fastest way to earn it is to continuously buy Silver Packs until you are no longer getting permanent unlocks (hey, you may even like some of the armors you get through the Silvers), then switching to the Golds. Before too long you should have Fotus.
If you already have the Deadeye chest piece it’ the same as Fotus besides color
Everything regarding progression in Halo 5 besides achievements, SR, and CSR is tied to the REQ packs. So you’ve basically just got to grind away at those REQ packs until you get what you want.

I know this is old post but just a little warning trust me you don’t want it you do not want to become like every other tryhard jerk who wears it. From my halo experience sense fotus became a thing everyone is a jerk who wears it guaranteed and if you say you are not and wear it you are a liar. (this is just a joke and semi serious because it does happen to me)

It is unlocked in req packs through game play. You’ll get it eventually through playing, and when you get it either wear it or wear whatever armor you want to be honest.

Got it, don’t use it myself. It’s not in my mental image of Haloverse; we’re all different I guess…
For example: I’m more inclined to “Vigilant Watcher” with “Tactical Carry stance”. – That’s my mental image (and I hope to see that in “Halo Infinite”); I’m sure many think it’s quite boring, but it is my sense, nonetheless.
It used to be in the deluxe edition I think
