Dear 343 industries,
I am one of many fans of Halo 4 and I would like to ask you two questions.
The first question is how you get Fotus, Locus, and Deadeye armour? Though I have
asked people how they got the armour they did not respond and I found no indicator in the game as to how to find it. If you could tell me I would deeply appreciate it.
The second question is, why did you take the plasma rifle out of Halo 4? It is one of the many classic weapons that has been in Halo since the very first game in 2001; the only reference I ever saw of it in Halo 4 was in the prologue and when I expected to find the plasma rifle next to an elite I found the storm rifle which had replaced it. I would really appreciate it if you put the plasma rifle back into Halo 4 and make it feel like a Halo game because it is not the same without the plasma rifle. I am sure that other Halo fans feel the same way that I do about this.

Fotus: Limited Console (which is pretty much gone), so your best bet is Ebay. Although, im not sure how many they have left but they are pretty expensive.
Locus and Deadeye: You can either buy the separately off of Ebay, or your can get Halo 4: Game of the Year, where you will receive all the content, EXCLUDING FOTUS
Q2:
TBH, I have no idea why they did that either, however, I would’ve loved to have used that weapon, instead of the Storm Rifle. Hopefully in Halo 5, the weapon along with a few others make a return.

After Reach, the plasma rifle took a backseat. I’m guessing 343I took it out because they wanted a primary weapon that looked bigger.
Buy GoTY. Its cheaper than buying it all seperate, and despite not having FOTUS, you still get the more expensive stuff.

I really don’t see that catching on. Recon helmet back in the day was really awesome since it was exclusive to Bungie, but FOTUS just doesn’t wow me like Recon did.

I could see that becoming a phrase. If someone ever asks me how to get Fotus, I’ll tell them it’s a secret, lol.
The Storm Rifle is a more evolved version of the Plasma Rifle. Canonically, it is more effective than the Plasma Rifle. That is why it is gone.
Honestly all of the Plasma Rifles save the one in CE/A have sucked. That was the only game where it actually felt like a rifle. I would not mind if it returns as sidearm though. I honestly prefer just about everything about the Storm Rifle over the Plasma Rifle.

It’s bigger, shinier, strips shields pretty effectively, and fairly accurately mid range. And people underestimate it a lot.

I don’t really see the appeal of having a huge horn on my head…makes me feel like Rhino from Spiderman.
I loved the Plasma repeater myself.
Also I admit I use to hate on people with the unicorn helm, then I got it and it stopped lol.

Really? Nobody I play with has asked how to get FOTUS; in fact they all think it’s a bit stupid having a horn on top of the helmet.

You know, I really wish that the armor wasn’t just aesthetic, but actually did something in multiplayer.
Like Vanguard/Gungnir increasing scope distance, Spotter obscuring top vision, Protector requiring one more bullet (or burst, if using the BR85) to kill when your shields are down (though this would make it overpowered in SWAT). FOTUS would provide a melee attack buff, where if you sprint at somebody and melee them while coming out of sprint, you’ll headbutt them in the chest and impale them on the horn for an instant kill (something something Forerunner technology) assuming they don’t have overshields. Also, this wouldn’t work against Promethean Knights or Elites in SpOps.

Tell everyone that you’re giving out Fotus codes and they’ll come…they’ll all come…

Its funny, I use to run into way more players using Fotus than Locus when I was grinding through S-Ops. About every 4-5 games I would see someone wearing it, or a piece of it.
I think I ran into 2 or 3 players total wearing Locus the entire time I played S-ops
up till the last chapter.
Even in Matchmaking now I run into more Fotus users than Locus.
