FOTUS is NOT exclusive to the console?

wonder how long it’s gonna take to unlock FOTUS… I’ll be throwing my prime skin on day one !

I wasn’t directly pointing that post at you, just everyone in general. But why would it make any difference for those who got the console for the helmet if it’s still in the game anyway? They will still get it regardless. Sure, it may not be handed to them right off the bat and may have to work for it, but it’s still there for them.

Ok, this is pretty much bs now.

When 343i first put up the pre-order article on this website, it clearly stated that the le would get the recruit ARMOR and the console would get the fotus ARMOR. Now, they’r changing it all up without even properly notifying everyone??
I have a good memory and I’m 100% sure that’s what the original pages said on all websites and on waypoint.

Heck, I even took a screenshot of the original le pre-order details, showing that it was indeed recruit armor, not an armor skin.

I don’t get it but I do know one thing I hate being labeled with these people because I am getting the console.

You may be joking but there are people that will do that and there are immature idiots that think people who buy the console are getting it for the armor. I am sorry but I am a console buyer and i am buying it for the console I don’t want to be associated with people who think or are buying the console for the armor.

Wow, just wow.

> “• Custom downloadable content: Receive a code to download Halo 4 content from Xbox LIVE, including unique armor skin, unique weapon skin, unique emblem, matching avatar armor, and unique avatar prop.”

Matching avatar armor? If the console bundle is still including the FOTUS avatar costume then I would presume it’s still including the FOTUS armor set too.

> That’s definitely strange, first the LE’s war games map pass get’s changed to include the helmets and emblem, now it’s saying console buyers get a skin and not armor…

Whoa whoa whoa, when did they change the LE WGMP?

ERMAHGERD IM SO CONFERSED!!!

Dang. This thread is blowing up. Anyways, I don’t think that it’s such a big issue. Think about it. This was going to be the first time you would be rewarded for a buying a new console. What did you all expect? We usually just got content for buying the better version of the game. I think the fotus should’ve been available to everyone. But the Recruit should’ve stayed to the LE. The standard comes with the console, so you should get what comes with the standard when you buy the console. But the LE is a more premium version, and no one HAD to get it.

That’s my opinion.

My brain hurts. We keep getting bounced back and bloody forth.

Come H5, I hope 343 puts out a bulletin with absolutely concrete details about what you get with each edition, so we can stop assuming and playing the guessing game.

For a lot of people this has nothing to do with the actual content, it’s the bait and switch tactics used by microsoft that everyone’s angry with. True it shouldn’t change much of the value of the actual console but it should change the trust people have for the marketing process implemented by these companies. And a lot of people get this extra stuff to show their support for the developers, if the developers start to -Yoink- on them you can understand why people would be angry.

Yo, why don’t you guys not believe this guy and look at how armour works. When you get an armour skin you get the armour that comes with it, for example we get Hazop FRST or whatever it’s called with gamestop. You get an actual armour piece called Hazop FRST (Not right name), it’s not a skin that you add on but a variant of that armour.

> I didn’t pre-order the console because I wanted FOTUS armor, I pre-ordered it because I need a new 360.

Agreed, though I’m not getting the console, I’m pretty certain that they are getting it for much more than just some armor (ugly one at that, cough). Still, I’m sure it wouldn’t make much of a difference, but I’m still surprised that it’s now just a skin. People are being mislead as the days continue.

Well i did ask if you were being serious, lol

Even if you are kidding, there are people who seem to be overreactting to such irrelevant rumors. Whether we get certain DLC or not we still get a brand new Xbox, 2 controllers, a video game, a 320GB hard drive, and a headset for $350. (Gamestop refunded my $50 back when the proce dropped, that money went to the UNSC controller) If the want to reward us with in game stuff, cool. If not, oh well.

The thing is, 343i did clearly notify us what we were getting when they first put it all out on waypoint.
The problem here is that, they’re changing what we are getting without properly notifying us in any official way. That’s what I don’t like how they’re approaching this.
When they first put out their article on waypoint, it clearly said that le buyers would get the recruit armor and console buyers would get the fotus armor. Now, it’s just skins…

I don’t know about all console buyers but most probably werent buying it specifically for the armour - however the officially marketed exclusivity would have definitely been part of the value proposition when they decided whether the product was worth it or not

PLEASE GUYS DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ

Take this video as proof that you skins have to be used with certain armours and an armour skin is the exact same thing as a peice of armour.

Just has been revealed in the latest armory videos, when you unlock an armor skin, it in turn unlocks the armor. Those getting Forest armor skin for example unlock the Hazop armor. Now the FOTUS armor skin with the Console does indeed unlock the FOTUS armor. However FOTUS armor is no longer exclusive to the console, everyone will unlock the FOTUS armor at some point, it is just the case that console owners get the FOTUS amor before everyone else.

Keep this on the first page for all to see >:D
