FOTUS is NOT exclusive to the console?

343 clarified that you do indeed get FOTUS armor with the console in a previous bulletin. Stop stirring the hate pot, that is just a small mistake.

> This is actually getting hilarious. Can’t they be clear on anything?

It’s not hilarious at all, if FOTUS isn’t included with the Console as Exclusive Content it’d be a huge smack in the face to the people who Pre-Ordered the Console Edition.

> I’m not getting the console but, holy -Yoink!-!!!

Honestly why does it seem like most on here amuse that people who get the console care about fotus or are buying if for that. I don’t know but I assure you there are many others buying the console for the console. All that stupid armor has done is made the console look like a joke. Because so many think people are buying it for fotus.

They’re probably just playing it safe, after the whole recruit “armor” thing driving a lot of consumers crazy. Remember that the people who make these descriptions probably don’t play test the game; they simply list the bonuses.

So they might easily be rewording it away from armor because all they know; Fotus has an in-game unlockable version like recruit. We haven’t seen any proof that it does of course.

I still think Fotus is exclusive to the console.

> If the armor is no longer exclusive… I wonder what will happen to all the people who bought codes for $100 - $150 on ebay before the official release LOL

Call me an -Yoink- if you’d like but, I think their -Yoink- out of luck. That’s hilarious.

> > That’s definitely strange, first the LE’s war games map pass get’s changed to include the helmets and emblem, now it’s saying console buyers get a skin and not armor…

> My guess is the FOTUS is the "reward for hitting SR-130. At least they marked the price down $50 for anyone getting the console.

You may be on to something…

I can’t really complain, because as a LE buyer, all of these last minute changes are in my favor. However, this is not a good move business-wise to do all of this with less than 2 weeks to go.

So Microsoft’s own store - and every other retailer - has made the same mistake? Okay…

Eek. Everyone’s getting all mad about this over info spilling like wildfire. D8 Umm…little help from the mods to cool off the wildfires in the threads? o.o;

Its people like this that make the console buyers look like a joke. I don’t get it why pay $400 for a stupid armor when you have one of the most awesome xboxs ever to be made right there? I don’t get it but I do know one thing I hate being labeled with these people because I am getting the console.

No offense, but if you are willing to part with $350+ solely because of a single, minuscule collection of pixels, I question your sanity.

EDIT: I hope this is true. Everyone should get everything that should’ve already been in the game to begin with. No more of this exclusive content BS.

Do NOT listen to him, he is WRONG.

"Was the armor that was available in the PAX build the full set? If so, why is there no Mark V armor? -ArchedThunder

The PAX build contains the full set of armor in Halo 4. In the final game, there are a variety of methods for unlocking armor and armor skins - ranking up, earning commendations, progressing through Specializations and completing goals on Waypoint. Some of the skins, helmets, and the FOTUS armor are exclusive to various retail offers. Some of these items MAY become available to all players at a later date. We wanted to focus on the Spartan-IV armors for Infinity, maximizing the amount of variety across the armor designs. However, we did want to include a reward for completing the Campaign on Legendary, so we decided to use the Mark VI armor as that reward. While we’d love to include every historical variant of the Chief’s armor, it’s just not possible to fit more armor sets into the available memory." http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headlines/post/2012/09/05/The-Halo-Bulletin-9512.aspx

But, but I am insane…
Seriously though, look I’m not getting it because of some DLC, but some people would appreciate a little exclusive content to come with that price you’re putting down.

That is incorrect.
I asked bsangel about this already.
This was my question.
and
This was her answer.
It IS in-game armor, not a skin. If you talk to anyone who played the beta build at an event, or look at the videos showing off the armor, you can see that FOTUS does not have any skin variants.

Maybe I worded that poorly. I wouldn’t take any of this as hard fact because they could be just playing it on the safe side. I do not trust any of those retailers to post an 100 % accurate description. They simply are not trust worthy.

When 343 cleared up the confusion around the Recruit armor and the LE they had a chart in the bulletin that clarified everything. Fotus comes with the console.

Ok, this is pretty much bs now.

When 343i first put up the pre-order article on this website, it clearly stated that the le would get the recruit ARMOR and the console would get the fotus ARMOR. Now, they’r changing it all up without even properly notifying everyone??
I have a good memory and I’m 100% sure that’s what the original pages said on all websites and on waypoint.

Heck, I even took a screenshot of the original le pre-order details, showing that it was indeed recruit armor, not just the armor skin.

So that’s what the S in FOTUS stands for

WE’re speculating on what’s happening currently. That statement was true then, like that LE’s WGMP wasn’t coming with the helmets or emblem. But (for some reason) things are shifting right now. Microsoft’s own site is saying it’s an armor skin now as well as many other places. I’m quite curious what tonights bulletin is going to say about all this.
