All this customization is whats ruining the game now… Some people out there canceled their pre-orders and are not going to get the game now just because of all this bull crap…
Halo PC and Halo 2 XBL/Vista have no customization. But are they bad games because of it?

Hell no! Best Halo games out there, or rather not still out there since they went offline I think. Nah, don’t know about everyone else but I’m here trying to occupy my time till the game comes out…and the free donuts.

H2V and HPC are still online. HPC with thousands of players still. Not sure about H2V.
Personally, i’m happy as i’d like the armour at some stage, but it’s probably disappointing for the Console buyers.

You serious? Got Halo for PC only a few months ago and didn’t even try online because I thought it was dead. Must have been just for xbox. Thanks man! Havn’t played that awesomness in ages!
> UPDATE: I changed the thread title to better reflect the most likely scenario. The “armor skin” that the console comes with is probably still FOTUS. However, the lack of officially advertising it as “exclusive armor” leads my to think that everyone can unlock FOTUS. My best guess is it could be the “reward” for maxing out your rank at SR-130. Again, I’m just pointing this out for people to consider this possibility before paying/trading an arm and a leg for something that they might get anyway.

If you don’t understand this thread why don’t you actually read the posts within it?
We know this information, we have seen it, you and 30 other people have posted it claiming this is the clear answer and solves all our problems. Nope. Neither of these web postings are past the 24th of October, when this issue came up. We STILL need answers; clear, straightforward answers.
This is still going on? Come on 343, it isn’t difficult to just quickly post ‘Yes, it is exclusive’ or ‘nope, everyone can unlock later’.
I mean come on, this affects the people that are buying the most expensive tier of the game, and some of them chose it solely for the exclusive armour. (And it is NOT your job to judge them on that, guys. It’s their money and they know what they want to spend it on).
I will be enjoying my FOTUS armor(all except the Head) and my beautiful new console come November 6. I hope everyone keeps preoccupied with a discussion over a DLC item till after then so I can get a few good games going atleast from what I have witnessed here.

Hasn’t 343i literally confirmed Fotus to be an in-game armor set?
They never claimed the Recruit Armor was exclusive to the LE, that was simply an advertisement mistake.
I don’t recall anyone from 343i stating blatantly that you would get Recruit Armor.
Though, it’s name should have given away that it was the default armor set…
It isn’t about whether or not you get Fotus. We know we get Fotus. It’s about the exclusivity of it. Do we get it early and everyone can unlock it later or is it truly exclusive like Reaches flaming helmets.
Wouldn’t it be better if this would get locked and we just calmly wait for an official answer of 343i?
