I recently purchased the Halo 5 special edition Xbox One. I installed the game on my console and entered the DLC code for the Fotus armor that you get with this xbox but when I go into the game the armor is not there and I have no REQ packs left to open. I have seen this issue come up a lot on different forums but no one seems to have a solution except contacting Xbox live support or halo support. I have contacted Xbox live support who said they can’t do anything and to contact Halo support, which I believe the only way to do this is through forums. Xbox support can see that the code has been redeemed and I can see the dlc on my installed in my games and apps screen on the dashboard. Can someone from halo support help me with this issue as getting this armor was one of the reasons I got this specific Xbox.
There is a widespread issue with REQ Pack DLC (ie Fotus, Hunter, Dauntless etc) not redeeming correctly at the moment that 343 is seemingly ignoring. Just look at all the other users starting threads about having issues on a support forum with no actual support being offered.
All I can suggest is that you and other people affected by the REQ pack DLC not redeeming correctly is to make a post on the official Halo Facebook and Twitter accounts to increase public visibility of this issue so that someone at 343 takes notice.
Yea I have seen the issue on different forums and I haven’t seen anyone have the issue resolved. I will try contact them VIA facebook thanks for the heads up.
You could try speaking to Xbox Support, either via live chat or over the phone, but they will only run you through standard troubleshooting procedures and then suggest you come back to these forums. However, if more people get in contact with Xbox Support to report this issue perhaps it will be escalated to someone at 343. Unfortunately there is no direct way to contact 343 Industries to report this matter which is highly frustrating.
