So i purchased the Special Edition Halo 4 Xbox. Unfortunately the code for the Fotus Armor, Unicorn Emblem, and Imprint Light Rifle, had already been used. I have been talking to Xbox Support for a week, they began an investigation, found that some other Gamertag had already redeemed the code, and that i should get in touch with the retailer i purchased it from. I talked to gamestop, they said to bring in my recite and they would get me a new code. Unfortunately they could not locate or get a hold of a Halo 4 Xbox. The guys at gamestop were very helpful and nice but just couldnt get the material they needed to help me. They told me i need to get in contact with 343, give them my case number from Xbox support, which i have, and any other info they would need. I have been searching high and low for a customer support number but it appears they dont have one set up. So someone, anyone, please respond! Half the reason i purchased the special edition xbox was for the fotus armor. If i posted this in the wrong section tell me where to post it, if its labeled wrong or anything. Let me know where to go and who to talk to so i may get in touch with 343 directly and get this all sorted out. Thanks everyone, and remember. Yeah, that is a major downside to “BIG BUSINESSES” You can never really get a hold of them when you need them.

well obviously i cant prove it over forums, but as far as proving it to 343 its fairly simple, provide information and not to mention my case number that Xbox Support gave me
there’s no way that somebody else got a hold of ALL your codes by accident… i just don’t believe it.
this is how i see what went down:

you were selling those codes on ebay

somebody bought them so you gave them the codes.

the buyer redeems the codes.
-
you then claim to microsoft that your given codes has already been redeemed by somebody else.
-
microsoft can see that another user has redeemed the codes.
-
they didn’t want to deal with you so they decided to have the retailers deal with it.
-
gamestop knows that another gamestop a few miles away have the halo 4 console in stock, but didn’t want to deal with you.

so they decided to have you try to contact 343i…
there’s no other possible way that another user got a hold of your codes than the story i explained here (or similar story). every code is never printed twice; end of story.
but you know what? i’m just kidding with you haha, i really hope you get your codes bro!

look Microsoft launched a full investigation and has seen the person who redeemed the code, now i can sit here and swear up and down i didnt sell it, but the proof is in the investigation, they told me that the retailer i purchased it from would be able to provide another code, but gamestop did not have any consoles in stock (obviously) and suggested that i try to contact 343 with my issue. Xbox support, and myself, seem to think that the only way someone could have gotten access to my sealed, brand new xbox, was if there was foul play in the packing, shipping, or some other distribution of my console. I have been a loyal Xbox, microsoft, and halo customer for the entire decade its been around. And as much as id like to not be thought of as a “bad person” on the forums. Microsoft, 343, and xbox, know everything about me anyways, im mostly just here looking for help in finding an answer, not getting one.

Or someone, you know, stole the code out of the box.
AND i apparently failed to mention that, EVERY other code worked perfectly fine (the avatar items, Fotus Male Armor, Fotus Female Armor, Crawler Prop) In the investigation it was seen in my download history and therefor provided enough proof that my purchase was legitimate and there had to have been foul play with my codes. It would make no sense at all for me to use all the dumb avatar codes and sell all the awesome stuff for in-game.

I highly doubt that, the only person with access to my new xbox was me. I took it straight home, typed in the codes, thought i might have done them fast in my excitement, then realized it just wasnt working.

Think about it.
Someone could have easily found the number/letter pattern on the XBL DLC codes, played around a bit in the Redeemer, and gotten lucky.
I know I’m a it late but i just recently found out that you get the fotus armour with the halo 4 xbox and I have not opened the game that comes with console because i bought the limited edition as well so I opened it up went to enter the codes and all of them worked with the exception of the fotus armour for use in game I entered the code and it told me “Code Not Valid” “this code has already been redeemed. Please enter an unused code” so I thought I made a mistake and triple checked to make sure it was correct and got the same response all 3 times. I just opened the game that comes with the console today.

I have a few suggestions of what happened, but they are just a long ridiculous shot:
Someone, when other workers were around, payed a good sum of money for the armor. So you got to be the unlucky one to get that.
A worker stole the code and gave the box to you to lose suspicion.
Someone set this up just for you.
Stupid, but possible ways it could’ve happened.
