Forward Unto Down Facts For Halo 4

Hey guys,

Does somebody know why the Forward Unto Dawn is burning in the Halo 4 trailer?
I just completed the Halo 3 campaign again just to compare the Forward Unto Dawn and The “Legendary Planet” back then to now. I know, I could have watched it, but I’ve played whole campaign alone on Legendary, because I can’t wait anymore…

1st:

I noticed, that the Forward Unto Dawn wasn’t burning after Halo 3. Why is it burning in the trailer? Is Masterchief under attack?

2nd:

Masterchief is in the Hangar of the Forward Unto Dawn and like Frank said here he will find old weapons in the Hangar, but what is with vehicles? Sure the Scorpion that almost crashed into Masterchief is gone, but are there more rooms with vehicles in it? Maybe they are all under fire, as the ship is burning.

(3rd: Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think that the Halo 4 trailer planet is the same as the Halo 3 Legendary planet, but I could be wrong.) Doesn’t fit in here but I wanted to mention it.

Is the Forward Unto Down going to be our Point Zero = Main Base, from where we start our Missions? Now it’s your turn, let me hear what you think.

  2. I don’t get your question. If you’re asking if there will be new vehicles in Halo 4, then the answer will be ‘yes’.

  3. It’s the same planet. Just updated visuals (and the trailer was CGI).

This. The trailer wasn’t canon, so the fire could just be there for the effects. I don’t know.

I’m sure that, early on in the game (maybe the first level or so), we’ll be getting all of our original weaponry and possibly vehicles from the Forward Unto Dawn.

When the Infinity shows up, which I believe almost one-hundred percent that it, indeed, will, Chief will, most likely, be introduced to brand new UNSC weaponry and vehicles.

So basically, you’ll start with original, Halo 3 UNSC weapons (AR, Magnum, etc), and then you’ll be introduced to newer UNSC weapons later in the game.
