This feels like a huge punch in the gut and a hypocritical statement.

Way to be -Yoinks!-. We buy up every piece of fiction and spend 10 years digesting it all and all you can say is “Well , we already have millions and millions of fans. We have to try and attract new people and not make something that is true to the EU material and all the hardcore fans who’ve spent the last 10 years following the Halo universe, so it can be different for whatever reason.”

I seriously hope material from Reach the game isn’t in there and it doesn’t alter events from FoR-GoO using the -Yoink- retcons Bungie tacked on to Reach.

About those retcons, they originally didn’t matter. Inside the Legendary Edition of Reach came a slip of paper saying the events in the game are a reconstruction by ONI. 343 could’ve built on that, but they decided that they wanted to make it canon with the Data Drops. They help a little but it was unnecessary.

Also, I’ve bought the books and everything else to, but oh well. Bring everybody up to speed. It’s the experience dude, get over it.

^^ that, calm down bro, it’s good to bring new fans aboard. The more fans the more money the more money, the more games and novels, the more novels and games the deeper and broader the universe. In the end they want to make more games and novels for us, appealing o new fans is the best way to ensure the can
