Forward Unto Dawn Web Series

So, I watched the Forward Unto Dawn video like a lot of you most likely have already.

I was a little disappointed somewhat.

Mostly because of the main character and all of the recruits. They seem a little childish to me and very small. I mean, the arms on the main character look like pencils! I just think that it could use a little more realism in that area. Also the armor looks very plastic.

Am I being overdramatic or am I right?

Thoughts?

They are not even marines yet, so yes. You are overreacting.

Well it is a military academy, not a full blown boot camp, so the “younger” recruits is fine. The armor looks odd to me, but I get a Starship Troopers vibe from it, so I like it.

Could also be an armor type just for training since it would have to react in same way to the paint rounds in a similar way that the army mjolnir tests were done with paint rounds that locked the hit area of the armor

boot camp ≠ military academy

juuuust saying

Tom’s brother, the ODST, is jacked

OVERDRAMATIC!
Everything about FUD is near perfect IMO. I just hope the Covenant look good.

What do you mean by jacked?

I am insanely curious about them too.

He means that his brother is muscular.

American expression

jacked, cut, beefed up

means he is muscular

I’ve never heard that one before :stuck_out_tongue:

I think them being weaker is more realistic than having buff characters.

I personally thought that FWD first part was very good. There a few things here and there- like the helmets looking to big- that i had issues with, but overall i loved the acting and i thought the characters were very interesting and it seemed very emotional.

I wouldn’t assume they’re overprivileged yet, we barely know them.

I am not well versed in Halo fiction lore, but I assumed they were Spartans in training. And Spartans are trained from youth.
Weren’t Spartan IIs hand-picked and kidnaped at childhood, like 9 years old or something.
Maybe I filled in a blank, but regardless, the observation of them being young is correct, they are supposed to be young.

remember what Black says…they are the offspring of high ranking officers of the UNSC…UNSC jobs are very lucrative according to a certain Palmer woman. I would think they are overpriviledged…

They are training to be Marines/ODST;s. Not spartans.

The only cool looking cadet was the asian one from Supernatural. Season 8 started by the way. Yay!
