Megablocks probably screwed up on the name. Even If not I dont care, the Fud is mostly gone so as long as in the game it looks like how it should im ok, tho if it makes a cameo on halo 4 Fud and looks like that i don’t know what to say. The constant changing of modles is beyond ridiculous, it is killing halo’s consistency.

Wow, that’s actually a really good theory. Considering the UNSC Infinity can carry multiple Frigates I’m willing to bet that the Forward Unto Dawn is on there if there is one.
Once again, I like how 343 Industries are taking artistic liberties and are making things in the universe look a little different in Halo 4. Sure, the frigates from Halo 2, 3, ODST and Reach are cool and all, but fresh and new is always nice in my eyes!
Of course, I really do love Da Fluffinater’s theory of being a new frigate named after the original, but the Forward Unto Dawn from the teaser trailer looks like the one shown in this video, making me think that it is just a redesign.
Yuck that is horrid. I don’t know about you guys but this looks quite a lot better than that lego model. yes it’s lego so it lacks detail but the basic underlying design and shape looks nasty.
I’d love to know why 343i keep insisting on changing things that don’t need changing.

It’s not lego. And I think the in-game ship looks normal.

The video shows how the model can split in half just like the FUD at the end of H3/start of H4. I really like the theory but it’s definitely the same ship as before.

Human ship were redesign for Halo 4. FUD now look like the one Megablock did. E32011 kinda prove that too.

If you go to the “Games” button at the top of this site and click “Halo 4” the background image with the Master Chief kneeling and the FuD and Covenant Cruiser above him, the FuD’s “engine wings” look very similar to the MegaBloks one.
Why change the design 343? It doesn’t seem like all that much of a big deal just to keep a previously existing design. I let the Chief’s appearance by, but this is just getting out of hand of you needing to reskin everything.

Agreed. I’m kind of disappointed that they feel so many things need redesigning when they really don’t need touching at all. I think its an ego thing, they want to reboot the franchise and stamp their mark on the franchise, when quite frankly I wish they were able to stand back and respect the franchise.

Yeah that’s why it caught me off guard. Clearly 343i know the frigates look a certain way so why go and change the one that CAN’T POSSIBLY BE ALTERED IN TE VACUUM OF SPACE!!!
I hope they give an actual reason in game for this and not just the “artistic liberties” excuse.
