Question: I have the card for the Forward unto Dawn video from my Halo 4 limited edition. Is it restricted to just being watched through the waypoint app? Or can I download it to my harddrive on my laptop in hd?
My reason for asking. I live in the sticks and my home internet sucks. I can barely even play Halo 4 in any competitive way. When I try to stream netfix it’s horrible quality and buffers every two minutes or so. I want to know if I can just go to the library to use the public wifi and download that 720p or 1080p version onto my laptop so I can watch it in nice quality.
If its just a “streaming only” thing then I’m going to be quite upset cuz that basically means I can’t watch something that was 50% of my reasoning for buying the LE. Thoughts?
There is instructins on the back of the card of how to download from waypoint website or sumthing like that, i have it to. Look at that for a sec because i think the answer is there.
It just says enter cod on xbox, go to halo waypoint.com, login, select Halo 4:forard unto Dawn. Doesn’t say “download” anywhere so I’m thinking it might just be streaming. I can download Youtube videos using a little app here on firefox but I’m not sure if it’ll work on a file that size. Ugh.
Goobot, are you absolutely certain? Do you have the code yet it only allows you to stream it off the waypoint site?

It only allows me to stream, there is no download option.
Looking at the fine print it says “silverlite” required. That’s MS version of flash so yeah, it must be that stupid little streaming thing. Ugh. That’s so frustrating, basically means I can’t use content I paid money for. Well, time to see if I can sell the code on ebay then torrent the file later. Still very open for suggestions!
