does the development plans for Halo Infinite include the addition of Forunner stuff such as the Binary Rife and the Phaeton?
I’m sure they’ll have forerunner weapons and vehicles in the game. Unless the campaign has no forerunner/prometheans in it at all, in which case I’m sure they will add prometheans in a future campaign.
Your guess is as good as mine.

Thanks for telling exactly what i wanted to.
They hinted that they’re trying to make hardlight its own category of weapon. Plasma melts shields, standard bullets are better against exposed targets, hardlight will likely do something else. I would expect a lot of promethean/forerunner content over the course of the games life. That’s assuming we don’t just start getting Destiny elemental types.

I wonder what they will do with hardlight? Maybe a slight stun effect or knock back effect. It almost seemed like they were hinting at other ammo categories that have yet to be revealed which could very interesting!

I was thinking something like extra damage to vehicles, that’s what the hardlight attachments in Halo 5 did.

That’s true it definitely added extra vehicle damage but I wonder if they will add something against infantry too. Might be over powered at that point though.

Extra damage to vehicles from hardlight -Yoink- would be pretty cool. A stun effect might be a bit annoying in multiplayer though unless it’s very slight. But I’m all for them experimenting!
We don’t know right now. The way they talked about damage types in the January updates makes me think that we will have promethean weapons but it hasn’t been confirmed. As of now we only know that there will be UNSC and Banished weaponry. We don’t even know if Prometheans will be in the game themselves.
If they bring hardlight weapons and ammo in then they need to keep the disintegration effect too. That was so reassuring to see as a death animation for all enemies.
One damage type I’d like to see expanded in is fire. Fire has always been about area denial and damage over time, though it did that damage a too fast and for too short a time to really feel like it. I’d love to see the Flamethrower, Incendiary Grenade, and maybe even the Ravager if they made it more of a fire grenade launcher (as was hinted in the update to have changed to an area of denial/dot role). Radiation on the other hand, from fuel rods could be more about causing shield recharge delays. And lightning, like we saw with that grenade, could be about chain-damage primarily, but also stunning in PvE, and slowing enemies in PvP. Kind of like CE Plasma but without being significantly powerful against Shields or health.

The plasma rifle in Halo CE had a slight stun effect, so it has been done before. However, if they gave this effect to hardlight or whatever ammo type they choose the key would be balancing that effect specifically within Infinite’s sandbox. I think with hardlight it should be one or the other of course, and if I were them I would stick with extra damage to vehicles for continuity’s sake. But some other unspecified/unrevealed ammo type could use a slight stun. And I agree with you, a SLIGHT stun would be the only way to do it or else it could get very irritating.

They did show an electrical grenade in the gameplay trailer very briefly. That might be a damage type that will have a stun effect. Hopefully for multiplayer that just means it might drain your shields and make it harder to see slightly. A full on stun that locks you in place and/or stops you from firing would be very irritating very quickly.

You’re absolutely right and I’m hoping they have the sense to see that! I feel like that grenade is a nerfed spiritual successor to the energy drain from Halo 3, and it might be equipment rather than a grenade, I’m not too sure.
