I have noticed how much people complain about Halo 4 being the worst game on these forums all the time. I went on Gears of War judgment forums and saw the same thing. I have concluded this and everyone should keep this in mind when going on Halo 4 and Matchmaking forums…NO ONE IS EVER HAPPY ABOUT ANYTHING! It’s the same complaints and phrases “Halo 3 is the best” “343i is stupid” “Halo is COD” and etc. For a while everyone on the forum have been complaining about no CSR in Halo 4 and demanded 343i to put it in…and 343i did it, but people are now still not satisfied about the game. THEY GAVE YOU WHAT YOU ASKED FOR AND IF THEY DIDN’T GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED IT’S NOT ENTIRELY THEIR FAULT. THEY CAN’T READ MINDS. Also it doesn’t help that they keep getting all this negative feedback constantly, because what the point of them doing anything if they get no support or people giving them a second chance. It’s hard being a company that was just handed the biggest FPS franchise in gaming history and expected to make it the best.
Im not saying we should just blindly accept this game, Im saying that we should give ACTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK. “Halo is dead and 343i you suck,” is not constructive. I personally hope they do better with Halo 5 or atleast make a bigger update (be patient). The reason why most games arn’t as good as promised is because of rushed development to meet with the release date.
So people don’t think everyone on the forums represents the opinion of all Halo fans or everyone playing Halo 4. If you like the game good for you. If you don’t like it I’m sorry that they let you down.
Your post is well intentioned, but come on. The fans gave 343 Industries 220 million dollars on launch day alone. I think we are entitled to give them our feedback on the game, positive or negative.
You’re beating a dead horse dude, complaining about the community will not change a damn thing.
Welcome to the Halo Waypoint Forums!
But on topic, at the end of the day, we have the right to complain, it is our money that is paying 343 after all, why shouldn’t they make the game the community wants?
We are the consumers, 343 are the providers and meet the consumers wants and needs.
They can’t read minds? After Halo 2 and Halo 3 had ranks, Reach got rid of the classic matchmaking setup. People complained. There is no need to read minds. It’s common sense and we asked to have visible ranks, no mind reading needed.
I’ve also noticed the negatvity on the Judgment forums. I think some people just like to troll/complain.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for constructive criticism - it’s a good thing which can lead to better games in the future, but a lot of posts are pretty immature in their arguments and not helpful in the slightest.
Actually, they didn’t give us what we asked for. I’m not talking just about Halo 4 or Gears Judgement, almost all games are going downhill and adopting a CoD style play type.
I come from the Gears franchise and I refuse to even play Judgement. The Gears fan base is A LOT less forgiving than the Halo fan base seems to be. Everyone I know who got or played Judgement has gone back to the original. Theres even a petition going around to either get Epic to stop making Gears games or remove the People May Fly company for what they have done. There are so many things I could say, for more than my objections to Halo 4 in fact, but this is a Halo forum.
But we deserve to be upset: We are watching our favorite games die out because the companies want to expand out to a CoD style fan base:
Thank you if you actually read even a little of these.
Dude it’s wonderful. I can fill my supply of first world problem tears for years to come!
They took out ranks due to the amount of cheating/ account selling that was going on. I can understand why they were hesitant to put it in when BUNGIE was the one to remove it after H3. Unfortunately, they didn’t realize how critical it was to sustaining the online population (which was further exacerbated when so many people in the core fan base were frustrated w/ the mechanics). Now they can’t implement ranks in game due to the design of the games UI (or more likely, they don’t have the resources to make such a big change).

Yah people have a right to be upset, but we have to remember its a business and it has to make money. It’s really CoD’s fault, making every company think that gamer’s want CoD style FPS. When I got Judgement and played it I realized how it was copying CoD.
