What about ProBoards? It looks like a viable place to recreate the waypoint forum and migrate to.
Then again, I doubt anyone from 343 will check it.

The stack of disappointments just continues with 343i. Closing down the forums is yet another major fail. F Discord. It’s not at all conducive for discussions.

I doubt it because I am not sure if companies check fan-made forums in general. Maybe I am wrong.
We will likely have to moderate ourselves there.

You know what’s funny? I just got a reply from Halo support telling me that “Halo support does not take feedback” when I told them about the game not having a UI button for adjusting brightness. The game prompts you the first time to set it and it did again with season 3, but you can’t go back and adjust it after that. This is an actual issue because the season 3 update reset my brightness and I ignored the adjustment screen so now my screen is super dark unless I adjust my TV. Which means every time I want to play I have to adjust my TV and then readjust it when I play something else. This is absolutely insane. Guess what I don’t want to play frequently because it means constant readjustment.
Best part is that they told me to go to the forums to suggest feedback. Freaking ridiculous. They had the balls to mark the ticket as solved. It’s an issue not feedback. The game reset my settings and I don’t have a way to fix it! THAT’S WHAT WE IN THE BUSINESS CALL AN ISSUE!

That’s a pretty big oversight. So it’s never had the option since launch? I don’t know if mine has been reset but I didn’t have to make a big adjustment so I likely wouldn’t have noticed.
Correct it’s never had the UI button. It only prompts you the first time and after the season 3 update.
(PC version) When I load the game, then go to settings, then video, there’s a prompt at the bottom of the screen to press the Y button on controller/ R button on keyboard) for Screen Calibration. That brings up a screen to adjust brightness (I think from memory, this may not be possible while actually playing a game?)

I never noticed that. Why would it be a separate thing? That’s not intuitive at all! It also doesn’t help that since the update today it’s resetting everything to default other than controller settings.

Maybe you should have submitted the ticket with your name as “Mint Blitz” or “Lucid” - then maybe they would have helped you out

I feel you. I won’t be joining Halo on Discord, and I will miss this place.
Hopefully, 343 will still get the feedback they need.

I’m going to miss this place. I dislike using Reddit. I dislike having to use a discord as a forum. It really seems like they are trying to hide criticism by shutting this place down.
I met one of my first gaming groups called the Spartan Reaction Force (SRF) back in 2012 and we played like crazy back then. Definitely miss that group and will miss these forums.

I personally think there is an agenda at play…
Halo is going dark…
A clean slate is being made…
rebirth on a new engine…
but not as we know…
maybe its the end of master chief…
but halo will continue… like they said.
however … the franchise wouldn’t aim for mediocre.
a community space will again reappear…
but not until the dark is over…

It’s a skill, carefully cultivated over decades.
But mostly it’s because I tend to defend the ranking system.
And that then implies that their ranking is accurate and they aren’t as good as they think they are.
That and I believe we need some sort of SBMM. That tends to rile up a small but emotional group of individuals.
Oh, and I bought some cats ears. Even though I rarely wear them. That didn’t go down well.
Apart from that, no idea.
