Well, just another nail. Seems MS and/or 343i are intentionally destroying Halo for some reason. Focusing only on the mp when the story/campaign was the bread and butter, and what drove excitement for the franchise, shows how absolutely blind and short sighted they are! I’ll spend hard earned $$ to play the campaign. But even free (no, i won’t buy crap in MP) i hardly pay MP. It simply isn’t fun, aside from ovations game or two, unless you’re into frenetic, uninteresting gameplay. There’s no exploration or anticipation of what might be coming next… very little imagination, or opportunity to just have fun exploring and enjoying the view with friends, much less by yourself. And the "good"players make the game frustrating and uninteresting for the quiet rest of us that prefer a little slower pace. So we just quit.
The infinite campaign generated so much hype and anticipation And then they dropped it like a greedy ex-gf. I intentionally ignore all the infinite news anymore because it hurts so much that they never mention anything about coming campaign DL, new books, etc. Don’t they understand that the story is what actually drives the game and makes it worth playing? Not just mindlessly designing other players in boring mp battles on little maps? Without an active campaign development, Halo is truly dead.

Give it time. I’m sure some people down the road will create a new forum for Halo fans to dwell in.
Kinda sucks to see this forum go, though. I wasn’t super active here or anything, but I’d check it from time-to-time and see what was up with the state of the games.
