Darwi channels the spirit of J Menke and tells players right to their e-face they’re not as good as they think they are. And then he backs it up with logic.
The internet can’t take that sort of thing, but some of us…
Sad to see halo going down the hill so much for the past years. Even the halo 5 days were amazing. Infinite destroyed my interest in the franchise and desicions like this will only make it worse imo.
Something changed with the ranking system since S3 launch, i typically claim anywhere from 8-12 points per win and I dont recall losing more then 7 points in a loss.
In S2 it was the opposite for me.
I don’t mind this as much now and I feel like I’ve been leveling up faster / more consistently this season. (Maybe Im just playing better lattely? lol)
Well, the end is near my friends and now it’s time for so long.
Good luck to the Halo franchise, I was hoping to see a proper conclusion to the Master Chief’s story but as we all already know by now, that isn’t going to happen for quite some time. And now the multiplayer has been fully turned into a vending machine with a very minor narrative designed to make multiplayer seem more important. With all of the major aspects of Halo continually underperforming I just don’t see any reason to cling on to this game any further. Good luck to those players who decide to stay and continue sifting through the wreckage.
I’m honestly really disappointed that these forums are going.
I’m excited to start my own forum but obviously the community has made a place here to chat about Halo over the years and to see it just go is really frustrating.
Gentlemen, I can honestly say that I thought this day would never come. Halo forums predate 343 themshelves, and have maintained steady and productive conversation throughout the entireity of thier existence, not a claim many sites like this can make. I have enjoyed my time here immensely, and I dread the far too rapidly approaching day when I will never be able to engage with all of your fine minds again.
I have no intention to migrate to any of 343’s other platforms of debate. From me to you, this is goodbye. Maybe if were lucky something like the Halo Waypoint will rise again in the future, but until that Glorious day, This is farewell. Gentlemen, it has been a pleasure.
Sincerly,
Well, had some good time in halo forums since h3. 343 managed to bring me back to theirs because of their massive fails (EU servers or better their non existent in h5 and now all the flaws with infinite) so it is kinda ironic they are closing down their iwn source of feedback.
As I said before, just terminate this “studio” and not only get people who love halo to work on the franchise but also get some skilled people behind the desks. The UI is desatrous, tge netcode a joke and many design choices are straight foreard stupid (no FF, no collision).
Halo will more and more drift into complete meaninglessness… and 343 is too dumb, or better say too greedy to see and care.
One good thing: I will no longer waste my time moaning about stuff that relevant people will never see.
It’s honestly very sad how this studio was handed one of the most influential shooters along with its formula for success, and squandered every bit of it. I remember the years when just before the next big shooter would come out, the term ‘Halo killer’ would be used, only for it to fall flat on its face. The real Halo killer was created when 343 took the helm, and it seriously sucks to say that.
Everybody in charge of that studio should be ashamed of the mockery they have made this franchise. Halo pulled the Xbox platform away from failure and went on to revolutionize online gaming with its sequel, it deserved better than this.
I’d hoped to go out on some sort of a high with Season 3 being a great success but sadly I leave this place with the game having more bugs than last season and very little communication on when or if that is going to improve.
Regardless I will miss the debates and discussions I’ve had here and the people that made that possible. Whether I agreed with you or had disagreements, you were all still a part of what made this place enjoyable.
