Forum Updates (Small Things, Nothing Too Exciting!)

Are the avatars from the old thread still going into consideration for the new avatars?

I hope so, I submitted a few in there before the topic went ka-puff.

I didn’t even remember noticing that thread disappeared.

It didn’t exactly, when trying to view it, you would just get a redirect error or it wouldn’t load at all, even bs angel couldn’t figure out why, so they started up a new topic somewhere.

There is the old topic.

Any word on the sign out bug being fixed?
Also BS Angle, for me your avatar is showing me an error.

Gotta love dem updates!

Can ihaz my halo wars avatar?

> Can ihaz my halo wars avatar?

…That would be cool…I haven’t seen that one in a long awhile…

> One of the primary visible updates is new private message settings. Now, by clicking My Profile and then Private Message Preferences, you can adjust who is allowed to send you messages. Please note that if you plan on updating your preferences to only receive private messages from buddies, we recommend adding all the moderators. They send messages about forum-related things (not always warnings, but sometimes helpful hints when you post in the wrong section and whatnot).

Thats silly. Admin and mod messages should override the PM setting.

I just want my in-game emblem :’(

> I think we’ll always be collecting avatars. I don’t see any reason we can’t add batches here and there on a regular basis. Unless my devs tell me I’ve officially maxed out the allotted space for them, anyway!

Question!
do you want the future avatars to be 100x100 pixels still or should they be made to 80x80 since that’s what the forums are currently using?

*before the site updated the final avatar size was still unknown so you asked for larger specs… since it appears to be set in stone at 80x80 should we accommodate for it?" (idk if you have to individually re-size them before uploading or if you’re using automatic software)

PS: Thanks for making headway with the Avatars!

Same, we miss our Halo - Official Site (en) avatars we got for migrating. I can help identify the people who had it.

Question: Are the moderators limited to those monitor and superintendent images or can they use whatever images they want?

Admins can upload any pictures they like and link them to the site, I assume that Jess is only limiting them to ones she has preset though.

I disagree for two reasons: privacy settings should be up to each individual member and nothing should override their preferences, and this does not impact moderating in any way, shape, or form as members agree to abide by the rules and guidelines upon registration. That being said, I’m not trying to disregard your opinion, just share my thoughts. I am interested in hearing why you feel that way, if you’d like to share.

I know on other forums that has this feature, forum admins and/or mods are set so you have to get their messages, no matter what, just because mods and admins need to be able to say “Hey quite being a troll”.

YAY! I love you. I love this. I love it.

I’m excited for custom avys!

Sweet! Hope it wasn’t too hard going through all those avatar suggestions. I’ll claim 90% of the responsibility.
