Forum rank requirements exaggerated

Halo everybody

Im signed in with the same email i use since 2006 in Halo 2.
Yet i cant use links due to the rank system requirements.

Is it really comparative to have written 1.500 posts just to use links?
Not to mention astonishing SIX THOUSAND posts to use a signature?
You guys really want people post 6.000 times? I can try…

But is spam the forums really the only way to show appreciation to the Halo community?
After buying every Halo (except H5), playing over 16.000 online matches and posting since 2006 im not allowed to post links?
Thats sadtacular

Please consider your requirements carefully.
Six thousant posts an da signature is yours.

sincerely
Hector Salamanca

The reason for the high post count is to entice people to come back to the forums, to interact with one another.

That would be a bad choice and lead to you not being able to participate here. Discuss the topics you’re interested in constructively and the time will fly by.

Thing is, if you try and spam your way to these privileges you’ll get banned long before you reach them. The idea is to reward those who stay around and engage in constructive conversation.
How long you have played the game isn’t of much relevance to how constructive you can be when posting on the forums.

i understand.
but to reach 6k i would have to post 10 times a day for two whole years.
Just for a signature. Is that really necessary?
I mean i dont care about a signature, its not about me.
Just found this number astonishing big.
but whatever. if thats the highest price one can reach, he has to pay the price, right?

The intent of the forums is the post content, not people’s signatures.

It’s intended to be very high to reward the people who have been around for literally years. Don’t worry about it too much.
