Would it be possible to reorganise the “Games” section so that each Halo game has it’s seperate forum?

I agree these forums need a bit of tidy up. Keep in mind this is a beta.

This is how I think it should be like.

General Discussion forum
Off-Topic forum
Fiction Forum
Halo CE/Halo CEA forum
-Campaign
-Multiplayer
Halo 2 forum
-Campaign
-Multiplayer
Halo 3/Halo 3 O.D.S.T. forum
-Campaign
-Multiplayer
-Forge

-Theater/Screenshots
Halo Wars forum:
-Campaign

So basically I think there should be a forum with each game and then a forum inside of each of those forums.

we dont need an off topic forum, that is just a waste of space

but its a waste of precious forum and server space that could be used to do other things, like bring halo 3 or halo wars stats onto the website

With that logic the forums should be nuked completely.

Acutally, I think there’s a good amount of people that would like to discuss non-halo life topics. Movies, sports, tv shows, etc. I mean, if you wouldn’t like it, then you wouldn’t have to go to it.

Agreed. I don’t deem an off-topic forum vital, but it would be good to have one.

However, since the forum population is still rather low compared to other video game forums, splitting the forums up into too many sub-forums is probably not such a good idea. At least not at this point.

Individual games forums sounds like there will be too much variety and choice. What about this?:

  • Original Trilogy
  • New Trilogy
  • Spin-offs

As for games I think something like a Previous Halo forum (Halo: CE, 2, 3, ODST, and Wars, where every topic is tagged with the appropriate symbol), a Reach forum (since that’s the main game right now and a lot of discussion still centers around its multiplayer), and a future Halo forum for Anniversary and 4 to discuss theories and categorize information as we find it out. As we get closer to Anniversary’s launch those topics could get integrated into the Reach forum since they’ll be using sort of the same multiplayer. Oh and I think the forums should have cool names from the universe, kinda like how the old Halo 2 forums were called New Mombassa and Zanzibar. Cool names = cool forums, just an idea though.
