I don’t know if this is common, but lately I haven’t been able to go on the forums. The few times I have been able to get on, it takes forever for one page to load, close to 5 minutes every damn time I click for another page.
Also, why isn’t view all posts available? Or is it just me?
Some people have said its because this sites software is new or something like that, and that is why its more difficult to sustain it, but there aren’t that many people on all the time. I could understand when E3 was on it was this laggy, but now the amount of people has returned to how it used to be and its still as laggy as it was during E3. Why is it not settling down?
Don’t worry, the web team is working full-time and pulling all-nighters to get it fixed. Just give it a little time and I’m sure they’ll have Waypoint running back at its full glory again soon.
I believe Waypoint recently switched servers for the forums, so lag and instability was expected with the transition (which, I think, the transition is nearing its completion). With the huge amount of traffic coming from E3, the site’s been under an enormous amount of stress given the circumstances. The web team is hard at work doing necessary repairs, so I would expect everything to be smoothed out soon!
Does anyone know if we will be able to see all of our posts from before this transition? Trying to keep my posts to a minimum so I can see my old threads and see if I mist anything. Trying to find them without the view all posts button would be suicide.
Same problem. Lag then next thing you know it it says ‘Service unavailable’. When I get here I don’t see the icon pics. There’s a bug going on this site I hope they fix this problem D: I can’t edit my signature ither.

Avis were disabled in an attempt to stabilize the forums, no clue on an ETA for return as of yet.
Your inability to edit your siggie is not a glitch, however. That is something that you will “unlock” at 6,001 posts. 
I’m pretty sure the Waypoint team is updating halo.xbox.com . .
When I refreshed and then stopped the page (because it was taking forever to load) a few hours ago . .
I saw a new layout for halo.xbox.com, there where icons next to news, games, universe, community, store, forums . .

By the looks of things, both Alei Lakanee and I have a looooong way to go before we reach that point!
Im actually glad I saw this thread, I didn’t know if I was the only one having all these issues. Hopefully the forums will be back up and stronger than ever soon I guess this is what happens when the forums get near 20,000 people in the Halo 4 section alone… that was crazy haha
The forums have been struggling under the E3 load. The team has been working on them consistently since last Monday, and they’re definitely getting a bit more stable with each successive day. I imagine they’ll be back to normal soon.
