Bug: HTTPS cuts out occasionally.
Repro steps: It seems to be somewhat random. Just browse around the forum and you will see the “https” in the URL bar occasionally change from green to being crossed out in red text.

Bug: Ampersands copied from Beta forums display as escape sequence “&”.
Repro steps: It’s just a mistake from copying the data from the old forums, so I don’t believe it’s reproducible. It’s just a minor annoyance which could be fixed with a search & replace script.

Suggestions:

- Sticky threads need to stand out more… make the entire thread bar a different color, not just the icon next to it.
- User profile should have direct link to service record, much more convenient when you get questions about it than having to go back to the main page and copy/paste it in the search
- Ability to request a deletion of your own thread… example:

I made this requesting a feedback/bug reporting section BEFORE this thread was made. It’s no longer necessary but I can’t delete it, now it’s just spam. Or should we just use the “Report” feature? - “Quick search” at top of page, it’s annoying having to go to a completely different page every time

-Also when you mark something as favorite, it and someone posts something in a thread, if you exit out of your internet browser, then come back without looking at the thing the person posted, it will mark it as read. I dont know if that is my personal settings, Internet Explorer, or what but a reply would be greatly appreciated

Wow, you just described the SAME EXACT PROBLEM as me. BS Angel, please check this out.
Bug: When several tabs of different topics in the forum you are in are opened rather quickly, the pages will display to have loaded or be loading, but will all display a blank white page, and any previously loaded pages cannot be interacted with. Because of this, those tabs must be closed out entirely as refreshing doesn’t work. This also occurs when opening the “Yo!” thread even on its own, likely because it’s so massive, though it doesn’t always occur.
Repro steps: Open and load a few pages from the forums, and then quickly open about 4 tabs of threads, OR open the “Yo!” thread in a new tab.

Thankfully this is the only bug I’ve come across so far.

Recommendation:
A thread to receive the Halo Anniversary Avatar picture from you, like we previously had.
Suggestion: a Feed back forum board, instead of a Feed back Thread, maybe even a feed back sub forum board under each game. As nice as a Feed Back thread is, it can easily get very large. If you do this more people will be more likely to post their feed back and ideas into that, rather than the thread.

BS Angel mentioned that they wanted to get rid of that feature in the Gammas. You weren’t supposed to have access to it from what I understand.
Bug: My Topics lists every thread recently active, even if I haven’t posted in it.
Suggestion: Fix it? It was the same in the GAMMA forum too, I don’t know how a bug in basic and often used function such as that was missed for so long, and still wasn’t fixed in the final version. I even left a few comments about it in the GAMMA feedback thread.
I like to see what threads I’ve actually contributed to so I can keep track of replies and whatnot. Please fix this!
Bug: Function - Changing my GamerTag has caused me to lose my post history
Repro Steps:
Signed up for beta forums several months back with GamerTag “T3h Shadow”, about three months ago I paid to change my GT to “FlawlessC0wboy”.
I still used to appear as “T3h Shadow” on the old forums even though that wasn’t my GamerTag. When I signed in today I am now “FlawlessC0wboy” and have lost all my post history and account details.
My posts under the name “T3h Shadow” still exist, but I can no longer login to that account edit posts, continue with that username etc.
Browser: Chrome.
Are sigs gone or malfunctioning?
Suggestion: All threads that were made in the Beta and that have not been posted in since should immediately and automatically be marked as read.
Right now, if a thread is unread, then its entire containing forum section is unread. Essentially, for the unread indicators on the forum index to be useful, I and every other user will have to view the last page of every single thread ever posted to the forums. At that point, the benefit earned from the unread indicators wouldn’t be worth the effort it took to make them actually function in a useful way.
Bug: Mobile Skin on iOS (iPhone 3GS on iOS5) is bugged and untextured.
Repro steps: Log into halo.xbox.com/forums on your iOS Device, go to ‘My Profile’, ‘Edit Profile’ and tick the ‘Use Mobile forum theme’. - This option only shows on Mobiles.
Browser: iOS5 Safari for iDevices.
Bug: When submitting a post to a thread, one’s own reply is not visible when the thread is redisplayed. One’s own post is also not marked as read (even though you obviously know the content of your own posts), so the thread shows up as unread in the thread list despite not actually being unread.
Repro steps: Post in a thread. Immediately after the post goes through, leave without refreshing. Refresh the thread list.
Browser: Mozilla Firefox 7.0.1 (Windows 7)
EDIT: It is not guaranteed but it is extremely common.
i dont really like the style of these forums now. heres one way you could make it better.

i think we dont need a forum for every game, but, we could once again use a forum for every gamtype. we also need an off topic again.

Suggestion: I think it may be possible to show the stats on thankboxes more cleanly. (I have no clue why this didn’t occur to me in the Gamma.) Right now, they wrap to three lines and take up quite a bit of space in the name-and-avatar box. Shortening the text would make a huge difference.
Something like this or this would be a bit smaller and cleaner.

I am having the same problem. How come I cannot change my signature, or even add one?
I am also having problems with the “https” as well. I had to make a new page and log into the forums again sue to the cut-off.
