Former Covenant Species Home World

In some part of this new trilogy I’d like to go to a former covenant home world. I’m sure a reason would not be very hard to make. I think it would be great if we could go to the Sangheili(elite) home world to meet with them, maybe we could go to the icy Unggoy(grunt) home world, maybe the most plausible would be the jiralhanae(brute) home world since they might be a little pist off about the covenant being ended.

Thoughts??

Well, if Halo were and RPG, I would say yes 1000 times over. For a shooter, not so much.

Now, it’s possible events in the Reclaimer trilogy will force us to go to the planets you mentioned, but personally, I don’t see it happening.

No. Now if this was a Halo MMORPG, then yes. There are zero reasons why we should be going to their planets.

The second we set foot on a Covenant world, the mystery will be lost forever, and we’ll realise that they’re all just regular species like we are, sleeping in houses and eating the produce of their world. I think the locations that we visit need to be alien to both humanity and the Covenant.

Oh, sorry I didn’t realize the events in Halo4 were already released by 343. Nobody knows exactly who our new enemies are, nor do we know there motives, beliefs, intent, or anything ells about them. What happens in Halo4 is still at this point anyone’s guess.

Part of being alien is having completely different cultures then us, how do you know they live like us?? Maybe the wild life on their planet forces them to live together and protect each other, someone sees you and suddenly you have a group of kig-yar running after you with plasma pistole’s.

I feel extremely confident in making the very general assumptions that all alien races:

a) Use some form of shelter to protect themselves; and
b) Rely on a diet of food to prolong their existence.

As wonderfully awe-inspiring as the Elites are, even they won’t be able to maintain their sense of wonder in our eyes when we’ve discovered that they also get sick, have -Yoink!-, and expel waste just like we do. The less we know about them, the more intriguing they remain.

I think 343 could make them different enough to be interesting, I didn’t mean that we would go in to a regular alien neighborhood, there are a lot of places on earth where people have far different life styles then us, sure they still need what all living organisms need but its not like were going to break in to a grunt home and see how similar they are to us.

We all guess that Master Chief will be fighting an Ancient Evil. Those Covenant species planets are not Ancient Evil. There is no point to go to those planets in the reclaimer trilogy. As far as we know those planets have nothing to do with Master Chief’s Destiny.

I don’t know if anybody would like this idea, but I would. I hope that we could play as the Arbiter in some missions defending his homeworld against some threat. He then finds out the Chief is alive and that he is the only hope for his homeworld to be saved. He then goes on a mission to find him.

If this were to happen, keep it in the books.
